They just arrived and I am not going to return them but on the back of the package it states that they have a life expectancy of 1/2 a year at 3 hours a night. That is ridiculous, if true! I notice that some people have complained about a short life and others state they last a long time. I will use them and see, but nowhere on Amazon, that I can find, does it state this bulb will only last for 6 months at 3 hours per night. The previous bulbs I used have lasted many years and at much more then 3 hours per night. When the current ones burn out, I will try these and see what happens.

I actually bought these not even certain that they would fit in my garden lamps. They throw plenty of light, and make it easy to find the walk to my house. They plug in easily, but one of them arrived damaged, so I can't give this a 5-star review.The others have held up throughout the season.

Good price for a 4 pack - less than I can get at Home Depot or Lowes. They do seem to burn out a bit frequently but I think that's more an issue with the cheap low voltage lighting that's installed on our deck steps.

Packaging says that this has an expected life-time of 0.5 years assuming about 3 hours a day. (For automatic lights and 9 hours of darkness, that's 2 months. Less in winter.) I'll try a longer-life solution next time. (Lights worked and were bright enough; I was careful to only handle with cloth.)

Nothing on the web site said it would last more than 600 hours, so three stars.

UPDATE: Four bulbs, two at a time. Lasted about three months each. So, caveat emptor and all that.

These are to replace the bulbs of our patio lights. The lights are programmed to be on for 5 hours after sunset every day. They are about 60cm above grade, and are sometimes buried in snow. We have 8 lights and 2-3 burn out each year, so I buy the multi-pack. The bulbs easily pop in and have a nice light.
If I were building the patio now I would use LED fixtures instead.
