On the good side, the Alchemy Goods Belltown Compact Wallet is made of thin, flexible upcycled tires. It has a great feel and it seems that it would stretch quite a bit over time.

On the bad side, you really have to work at stretching the material to get the described number of cards in each slot. Another issue is that it says that it fits folded money but it really doesn't. Cash is just too big, and the fact that you must fold it makes the wallet hard to close and bulky. It also makes accessing money quickly and easily a problem.

If you never carry cash, this is a great wallet. If you want to carry cash, I suggest going with the Alchemy Goods Franklin Bifold Wallet.

I would check out the entire line of Alchemy Goods products: Great concept, Made in the USA!, Earth friendly, and Cruelty free.

I gave the product four stars because I feel fortunate, as a Vegan, to have more cruelty free options at affordable prices. I also feel proud to support products made in the USA. In conclusion, the Belltown looks (and feels) like a quality product that would last for years. It is just the wrong fit for me. I'm going to go with the Franklin.

Good experience with Amazon shipping.

I keep cash and 2 credit cards outside, a bunch of "club" and "rewards" cards in the inside pocket, and my ID in the clear pocket. I also keep the card that "beeps" me into my office, and a bit more cash, behind my ID.

(I had to cut down on what I carried to get my stuff in this small wallet. But I haven't missed my library card, my AAA card, my uncle's business card, or any of the other crap I got rid of.)

Note that the ID pocket is clear plastic, NOT mesh. I was pleasantly surprised by this because I prefer clear.

It doesn't really feel like rubber, although when stuffing cards in you can feel it stretch a bit. Very happy with this!

I bought the Alchemy Goods Messenger Bag (not this item) more than six months ago. Like the bag and like the recycled and made in USA aspects, so when I needed to replace my current wallet, I bought this one and am loving it.

My previous wallet was of the exact same style, but was made of too rigid materials. This little wallet is super flexible. I've got five credit cards and drivers license in the windowed pocket, another five cards along with seven paper cards in the other internal pocket and because of the flexible rubber, have about ten business cards in the outside pocket. Very happy that the flexible rubber allows me to add more to one pocket than I thought.

The bike tubes are surprising thin, making it very light, but my experience with the messenger bag is that thin doens't mean it will break or tear. I've caught the bag on several sharp objects and it hasn't torn yet. Plus, there is a lifetime guarantee on all Alchemy Goods items.

Very happy with this wallet.

This wallet rocks! I love everything about it—it fits 5 or 6 credit cards comfortably in the inner slot and cash plus another card behind the ID pocket. Six business cards fit in the outer pocket in back. It flips open and closed with a twist the wrist, is easy to grasp and feel in a pocket and is stylish to boot. Though it's a bit too "grippy" right at first, the rubber becomes more flexible and more easily manipulated after a few days. The stitching is solid and seemingly unravel-proof and the construction is clean and angular.

Though it will probable last 10 years, I'll be buying another when it finally needs replacing.

Best of all, it looks awesome and re-uses a completely renewable resource that is about as green as renewable resources come! :)

This is a great little wallet. Recycled, vegan, waterproof, made in the USA, compact... You just can't beat it. I don't know about the advertised "8 cards per pocket" but I currently have 5 in the inner pocket plus some cash and two metro passes and a restaurant punch-card in the outer sleeve, all of which fit without struggle. I also enjoy the little touches like the Bontrager tube imprints on the inside. I also have an Alchemy Goods Urban Messenger Bag and I enjoy the matching design.

3 pockets: one on the outside and one with a plastic window inside. I rarely carry cash but when I do it fits neatly, folded in half, inside. It is made out of rubber so it doesn't slide in and out of a pocket like leather but its not bad. And oh yeah, by the way, it's made out of recycled material so you can feel good about owning it. All in all I'm very happy with my new wallet.
