There were enough mats that it didn't matter, but if you want a particular color, this is not a good choice. Lots of darker colors, and a fewer with "textures." Not many pastels, which is what I was looking for.

I would pay $2.50 or more for these mats in any store that carries them. The only complaint that I would have is that some to the mats are a little too bright but that is a minor inconvenience when I figure what they cost. All of my standard matting needs will be handled through Amazon.com.

If you want your prints framed nicely I highly suggest these mats. The various color pack is a plus! Many different colors to choose from! Fun to play with all the colors and see what might work for different looks. You can always get a more expensive mat for gallery or larger show if you find a color combo you like. Works in portfolios to show to friends and other artists when talking about colored mats. Useful in a classroom setting.
