The HP-41CV is the second best (after the HP-41CX) programmable RPN calculator that HP made. It comes with full capacity of memory (equivalent to adding four regular memory modules to the basic HP-41C model). The calculator has four ports that can take a variety of application modules (either made by HP or custom made by various organizations and businesses) and peripherals (such as magnetic card reader, wand, printer, digital tape, and disk drive). This model is still widely traded and I still write programs for it on a weekly basis. Don't let other reviewers complaint about price of third part sellers cast a shadow on how good the HP-41CV (AND the HP-41XC) are.

I have been using my HP-41CV for 32 years, it still works just fine. I get snickered at in meetings on occasion, by engineers who are younger than my HP calculator. But I am done with whatever we were trying to calculate while they are still pulling up the MS-Windows apps on a laptop to multiply a couple numbers.

Exactly what I wanted! My old one was starting to have problems. I bought the old one in 1980 when I was a hardware/software technician. It was my go to calculator for 43 years. Bought a 48GX but it's programming was too difficult for quick use. This calculator has math and finance packages also. Love it! The purchase went easy. I can't be happier.
