I chose this specific item instead of the dozens of other similar cat food dispensers listed because the picture showed the old square design. I already have one with that design and like it, so I wanted another one just like it but all I could find anywhere was the rounded ones. I was excited when I found the one I was looking for and was very disappointed when it arrived and was not what I expected. Also, it was cracked and one of the places the lid attached to the cylinder was snapped. I was able to tape it together to make it functional (because I didn't want to deal with a return and trying to get the right thing), but it's still bad that it was broken from the get go. Also, it's an off white, but I ordered blue. Another thing that makes it not match the other one. It got 2 stars instead of 1 because it works well enough, but I'm not happy about this. It's the wrong design. Wrong color. And was broken.

Although it works, it's incredibly messy. We use this for our cats and the food is constantly spilling out the sides where the container meets the dish. I'm so sick of wasting cat food and cleaning up the mess it makes.

No it did not meet my expectations. The top won't stay down and the slant in the tray is not enough to keep the good flowing as it should. I will keep looking. I would not recommend.
