This was my 5th pair of ECCO's in 13 years. I have never found another brand of shoes that last as long as ECCO's, look as good, and stay comfortable all day long - especially late in the day when your feet are swollen.

Right now I have no less than four pair of ECCO's in my closet - two pair for daily casual wear, a pair of black slip-on oxfords for work. I work as a corporate pilot, which has me working on airport ramps in any weather. Rain, snow, sun, hot, cold...regardless of what pair of ECCO's I'm wearing my feet stay, comfortable and dry.

For the money you'll spend on these, you'll save in long run given that you won't be replacing them for several years.

Since I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis a couple of years ago, I have become very particular about my shoes and boots. I have been looking for new casual shoes to replace my 10 year old Rockport/H.S. Trask loafers. I read several positive reviews about ECCO shoes regarding their quality, comfort and fit and decided to give them a try. I ordered pairs in both Bison/Cocoa Brown and Black. When I opened the box, I was instantly impressed by the quality of the leather, stitching and soles. I put them on to confirm the fit and they felt amazing! I wore them that evening while I was out and my feet never felt better! I am now an ECCO fan and will look for their other shoes that are in styles that I like.

I ordered these specifically for walking and hiking, I am happy with the fit, color and style. The shoes look fine with jeans or casual clothing and could likely be worn for work in many cases. The shoes are waterproof and quite sturdy, but they are also rather heavy compared to a regular oxford and substantially heavier than athletic style walking shoes. Like any shoe of this type, they will feel stiff at first and require some breaking-in for complete comfort. My only issue with the shoe is the sole. I live in the Chicago area and during the winter we often have snow and ice on walkways and paths. The sole is lugged and looks like it would be quite effective on such surfaces. Unfortunately, the material of the sole appears to harden and slide in the cold. I have found the shoe affords poor traction on icy spots, making them somewhat less useful that I had hoped. I think they will make fine 3 season walkers, but for the ice and snow, I'll stick with Vibram soles.

I bought these because there were so many stellar reviews, and because people seemed to LOVE the fit and comfort. I found that they are a nice looking shoe, which I can wear to work, or on weekends with jeans. The look is nice. The fit? It's okay. I find them a bit roomy, which makes them just a bit uncomfortable.

The biggest drawback for me is the padding around the ankle area. It's decidedly too thin, and is the least comfortable part of the fit and wear. So, I find I tend to shy away from wearing these as often as I'd hoped I would. For me, they're okay for a few hours, but I'm ready to switch into something more comfortable at the end of the workday.

I struggled between three and four stars, but thinking about how I look in the closet and say to myself.... "Uhmmmmm, not this one today," decided to go with three, because I was swayed by all the five-star ratings. Three seemed more descriptive for a "take it or leave it" sort of experience.

The shoes is well made and the leather is nice but the design inside the shoes just isn't as nice or comfortable as the Track 5. The cushion around the ankle area, specially in the back, is too thin. It is nice for daily use, and it looks nice, but I would not use it for short hikes or traveling somewhere faraway. One positive note, the sole appears to be quite durable.

Most comfortable shoes I've ever put on. I can walk really fast in these shoes and be assured of never slipping. And they hardly show any wear at all, just like the Track IIs I wore for five years and were great

I was excited to see the great price on amazon of $129 for a pair. The best part is they had my size which is a US 10.5 or EU 44. I've worn these ECCO's for years to work, out on the weekends, and even on vacation. They are hands down my favorite go to casual shoe. My last pair suffered it's lifespan fate after 6 years and had to be thrown out. I have been looking to replace them and finally at the right price!

Once I received them and tried them on, I could barely get my foot into them, and they were extremely tight in mid foot area. I'm aware that there is some break-in required for a shoe of this caliber, but it was honestly painful to have my foot wedged in there and if I spent another 5-10 minutes, I'm sure my foot would have been completely numb. What a shame, and kind of disappointment. I looked to see if I could exchange them for a larger size or if there was a wider option, but it wasn't an option.

**So beware, if you worn them before, and are expecting the same fit and ride, you might be kind of surprised that they are a bit narrower than before, thus only a 4 star rating from me.

The shoe looks great, the leather uppers are fantastic, the stitching is nice, and the new leather smell is outstanding.

Other than that, if you got narrow feet, and are looking for something that is comfortable, made to a high standard with great support, and can be worn with a myriad of different clothing options, look no further, you've found it!
