The case is sturdy a shell on the outside and basically a pillow on the inside, both my drives sit comfortable in their respective cases.
This is red blood case that will absorb strong impacts that will never reach the actual drive.
If anything I have say I was surprised when opening the box out of the mail. The case is BIG, the images illustrating the product in this page DO NOT make justice to the actual size of this case. I wont be sending it back, it is not that important for me, it will take some serious space in my briefcase, specially considering I have two drives and two cases, but it is still within manageable dimensions. Nothing is a lie in the product description, but I am not that a technical visionary to transfer product dimension into a mental image of the projected space it occupies, so an image making a live reference of its size by means of putting the case next to a widely known product like a can of soda or a pen should help other costumers (Maybe I will even upload it myself now!). The trade off for a potential small size case is the REALLY safe enclosure it makes for the drives, I could have gotten just a sleeve, but it would have never absorbed impacts like this thing will. Consider this case kind of one of those briefcases professional hitmen carry their weapons in, it has the soft cushion inside, the hard shell outside and a good amount of free space for good measure, I have a couple of standard sized portable hard drives (toshiba canvio and buffalo ministation) and there is still room for a thumbdrive inside the case.
The case IS aesthetically pleasant and GRADE A in quality, greatly built.

I was looking for a case for a Seagate Backup Plus 1 TB USB 3.0 Portable External Hard Drive STBU1000100 (Black) that I've recently bought. I wasn't looking for a neoprene sleeve but rather an actual clam shell type. I found many similar products by other brands but they where either more expensive or reviews mentioned that it did not fit my particular drive. So I went ahead with this DRIVE LOGIC brand based on reviews and price, and let me say I am very happy with it. Overall the case feels solid enough to protect my drive from accidental bumps or waist height falls. The external pouch is a made of neoprene which holds any extra cable you might need with your drive. The zipper is of a high quality type. Inside there is an elastic strap which holds the drive securely over the soft memory foam. And, on the opposite side there is a mesh pouch for a small cable (I do not recommend using this pouch for very large cables since the connector might scratch the drive). My only complain is that there is no memory foam on the lid side or a separator so if you where to press the case hard enough, the cable or the same lid will come into contact with the drive. But I am quite happy with my purchase, I highly recommend this case if you have a Seagate Backup Plus portable drive or any other of similar dimensions.
