My Sony NEX F3 didn't come with a plug-in charger so I ordered this combo to get one along with a couple of extra backup batteries. The charger works on the back up batteries as well as with my original Sony battery just fine. I wouldn't be without this product, and the batteries seem to last a long time as well! Heck of a bargain!!! I highly recommend this package deal.

I received my charger/batt in about 3 business days to Minnesota. Everything worked perfect and the battery stayed in the charger very well. It charged the supplied battery and the battery that came with my Sony Nex 5r. The camera also worked with both batteries perfectly. I did some tests with both batteries and I thought I would share them:

Timelapse with 1 picture/min on a full charge:
Sony battery took 163 Pictures (2h 43m battery life)
Spare battery took 141 Pictures (2h 21m battery life)

Charge Times from 0% (on this charger):
Sony Battery: 2h 21m
Spare Battery: 2h 20m
Charge times were EXCELLENT as charging through the camera takes roughly 4 hours.

So the batteries take basically the same time to charge, but the supplied battery that my camera comes with lasts 22 min longer. Not bad at all totally exceeded my expectations as I payed $10 +$3 shipping for this. If you are looking for a battery and wall charger for a compatible camera then look no further.

This charger wouldn't work at all. In fact, it drained my batteries rather than charged. It ruined my original Sony battery in that now it is completely dead and won't charge at all. Thank goodness I took the second battery out before it was completely drained and was able to recharge it directly in the camera with a USB cable. The battery that came with the charger works fine in my camera, but the charger also drained its power rather than recharged. I put it in the charger with a 40% charge, and after being connected for a few hours, it had drained down to 17%. - I can't say enough about this charger. DON'T BUY IT!!

Got a Sony Alpha 35 DSLR on clearance that didn't have a battery or charger so I ordered this instead of spending well over a hundred bucks on the Sony-branded stuff. This works great! The battery discharge is virtually unnoticeable and it fits securely in the A35 without any shims or other stuff people have been talking about. I did notice the 2 tabs that stick forward from the front of the charger that a previous reviewer mentioned. These hold the battery in place and you need to slide the battery between these when you put the battery in or out. They didn't seem cheap to me but if one ever did break I would probably just break the other one off too and wrap a rubber band around the battery to hold it in place as it charges. I would definitely buy this again. By the way, this charger/battery combo seems to be identical to the "WASABI" branded chargers/batteries that are also sold on Amazon but for a bit more money.

this did the trick for me. My camera stopped charging but I felt that the camera should still work. this gives you a battery and charger and charges the old battery too.

Loses 1 star because the batteries won't stay in the charger without a rubber band to hold them in place.

The battery lasted almost 2 years with occasional use and I haven't had any issues. I cannot tell a difference between the OEM Sony battery and this battery in terms of performance either, which is good. Charger works fine, not the fastest charger but gets the job done. For the price, this is a great value and a must buy for Sony camera users to save a few dollars.

I bought mine from eForCity. The charger works with both the new battery and the Sony OEM battery. Now I don't have to plug the camera in via USB to charge.

The generic battery looks very similar to the OEM. So close that it may actually come from the same factory as the OEM. However, the generic battery weighs about 12 grams less than the OEM. So I suspect the charge won't last as long as the OEM. But even if the charge only lasts for 50% of the OEM time then I'll be happy. Plus I now have a battery charger!

For the money I would highly recommend.
