These needles are quite smooth yet pointed enough for lace work. I experienced some trouble though because my yarn and needles were the same color. That presented a challenge for my older eyes. My next project on them will use a pastel yarn.

I'd give it more stars, but my item arrived broken at the base of one of the needles. I think I will just buy a pair of addi turbos in 32 or more inches in length and just use magic loop.

Both needles broke before I finished the first pair of socks and I was able to return them for a full refund. I will not purchase such a small size needle in wood again--they are too fragile.
