I originally decided to purchase this Jogger Stroller because of the weight capacity that it can carry. I figured that my 13 year old (30 lb.) Cocker Spaniel would have plenty of "extra" room which would allow him to stretch out and be extremely comfortable. I was wrong. He takes up almost the whole length of the stroller when lying down and he definitely can not lay on his side. I really don't see how a 70 lb. dog can fit in it and be comfortable.

That being said, I am very happy with the Jogger Stroller's quality. The one I purchased came with a hand pump which I take with me when we are out, just in case. Be sure to check the air pressure on the tires when the stoller arrives, you may need to air them up which is a little easier when they are loose. The tires are nice and big and roll smoothly. The swivel on the front wheel allows for easy maneuverability and it can be locked into a forward position if you choose to "jog" with it.

The mesh window in the front of the enclosure is fantastic it helps protect my Cocker's sensitive eyes from the sun but also allows him to see in front and to the sides without any discomfort (can't get him to wear doggles). Air flows through very easily from the front, top and back so there is no need to worry about discomfort on mildly warm days. Your pet can be placed into the stroller in one of two ways: (1) unzip the front closure and place your pet in and then rezip it closed or (2) the back panel also unzips and the pet can enter from the back then rezip it closed. My Cocker prefers to have me place him in from the front. The zippers can be a little tricky with the weight of the dog by once you get the hang of it, it is pretty simple.Read more ›

I can't believe this stroller has such good reviews...it's got to be a different series or something. I've already had to return this stroller a few months ago for the same problem (I waited a few months before I gave them a second chance). There's no possible way I could ever "jog" with this stroller, let alone walk fast! I have a soon to be 16 year old Pug...he can walk, but tires after about 20-30 minutes, I also need the stroller to transport him up the many hills in my neighborhood. I can't go too far without the front wheel, very abruptly and vigorously, erupting into extremely rapid jerking movements....enough to throw my dog out of the stroller. I literally have to bring the stroller to a complete stop and then start over again, which will work only sometimes...and is virtually impossible in the middle of a busy intersection. I just can't believe I'm the only person who has statistically received not only one, but two of these inadequately constructed strollers. I will return this second stroller and try, as fast as possible, to find a sufficient replacement. But, it won't be a Pet Gear product as customer service treats me like I'm some kind of a complaining nuisance. By the way, I presently have this stroller (purchased about 6 yrs ago), and if it weren't for the brake being broken and the stroller ripping at the seams, I would keep this much better constructed stoller for a while longer....the company, in the past, obviously did make a better product.Pet Gear Jogger Pet Stroller for Cats and Dogs, Burgundy

My wife and I recently added to our family w/ a 3 pound Yorkie and a 6 pound Shih Tzu Imperial. Their legs are maybe 3 inches off the ground. We love to walk on the beach and distances when we are not working. The Pet Gear Jogger Stroller is the gift that keeps on giving... We walk 3 miles a day and the kids love it. The undercarriage basket is perfect for extra potty pads, water and treats of course. The only thing I wish it had was reflective material and a headlight in the front. Well maybe that will be next year's addition. Keep up the great work Pet Gear!

We have 2 one year old Bichons that we often take with us. When traveling, it can be difficult trying to leash 2 while checking into a hotel, walking through the hallways or even taking them to a pet friendly restaurant. This stroller has made it so much easier and is the perfect solution for us. We wanted real air filled tires for a more comfortable ride and it even comes with a portable tire pump. And by getting the larger stroller that fits pets up to 70 pounds, our 12 1/2 pound each Bichons can either sit next to each other or lay down. It is easy to put up or fold down and will serve us well into the senior years when a long walk may be too much for our pups. Well worth the investment!

Follow up 9 months later:
Purchased this stroller in July 2012, now April 2013. Don't know what I'd do without it! Our littermate sisters don't like going anywhere without each other, so I now even use this to transport them in and out of the Vets! Makes it so much easier for me. Love the ride and the tires are holding up great. So easy to put up and take down. It does take up a lot of room in a small trunk, but gives my pups lots of room. This is a keeper!!

Just received stroller today. Set up was a snap, though directions stink. My 50 lb dog could barely sit in the stroller and could not lie down. I would think this is a great stroller for a 35lb dog or less. Do not even THINK about this stroller if you have a dog that weighs more than 35 lbs. I am sadly returning today.
