Despite the two pictures I'm posting, I still give these 4 stars. My daughters have these cups with different designs on them (from the red/white bullseye store) and they have been used every single day for almost 3 years with no problems. So when my younger son switched to sippy cups, of course I bought these elmo ones for him. Unfortunately, the first set that we got started leaking inside the double layer within a week.
**When you see milk or water between the two layers, you need to throw these out ASAP. That is a HUGE mold and bacteria risk and you should never just ignore it like other reviews say. It is NOT just an issue of the paper design being softened and tearing.**
Anyways, Amazon sent us out a new order of these and I am happy to report that we use them up to 3x a day and have not noticed any leaking inside the layers. We wash them on the top rack of the dishwasher every night. These cups are so great! No leaks, and the click top is convenient for screwing the lid on enough.
Overall I think these are well made, but clearly there is a known defect in the double layer of certain cups. Be cautious. Not all cups have this problem and this is a great cup as long as you don't get a defective one.
