This is a good, cheap and simple product

I bought this about 8 Months ago just didn't get around to writing a review. This is a good, cheap and simple product. You simply sunk it in a sink partially full of water and then ring it out a bit to the desired level. If you ring it out a lot it will not stay cool as long if you ring it out a bit and its slightly drippy then it will last quite a bit longer. That is personal preference, normally i dont ring it out that much because I dont mind if my shirt gets a bit wet or it drips a bit.

Usage: I actually use this at my home. I live in a unit with poor air conditioning and no insulation so it gets very hot in the summer (cold in the winter). At times it reaches the mid 90's inside my room so a fan (and poor ac) doesn't always cut it. I put this on and run the electric fan pointed at me (i guess its similar to how things would work on a motorcycle) and I can focus in comfort on work im doing on the computer. This really helps me keep my stamina when its really hot as I dont get tired easy and I can stay focused without being miserable. I guess I normally re-soak it about every 90 minutes or so. Being a motorcycle rider in the past I wish I had something like this, I think its the best, cheap and simple option available, i would definitely use this if I got back into active motorcycle riding. My nonscientific assessment is this product makes you feel about 10 degrees cooler than you would feel if you didn't have it on.

-Pros: cheap, simple, works fairly well for what it is.

- Cons: Zipper zips up on wrong side (like made for a left handed person or something, not a big deal at all). It does tend to get a bit slimy to touch but this is also not a big deal.

Overall this is a great bye and if your worried that it only works for 90 minutes (this depends on many factors) but you tour or go on long rides you can replenish it by bringing a water bottle or occasional stop at a gas station.

I love them even though they can drop at times and ...

This is my 5th cooling vest from this company. I love them even though they can drop at times and get you wet. I have avoided this by simply spraying my vest with water instead of submerging it if I don't plan to be outside long.

An Absolute MUST for the trail ride!

Seriously appreciated the value of this vest during the week-long dude ranch vacation where the temperatures were in the 80's and 90's. It kept me cool for 4 hours at a time, and I can not say enough good things about it. All you do is soak it with water, squeeze out the water, put it on over your clothes, and forget about it!

The ranch hands were drooling over it and I loaned mine to them when I wasn't riding. They were big hits. I bought two more and sent them back to the ranch to my favorite wranglers as a big thank you for their great service. All the rest of the wranglers were jealous.

I would absolutely recommend this vest to anyone working or playing in the sun. You will not regret it.

The worst part is the time it takes to let it ...

Works very well. Keep me very "kewl" in the Arizona heat while I'm on my motorcycle. The worst part is the time it takes to let it soak in water and worrying about it getting your close wet. However, I have not had a problem with it getting my close wet yet. I RECOMMEND THE PRODUCT.

Drive Cool
