I've seen several reviews on here there with conflicting size information, but here is what I found. If you are pear-shaped (i.e. full hips and thighs), then you will probably need to go up a size and, even then, you may not be satisfied with the fit. I usually wear a size 8-10, but the medium is quite tight across the seat and thighs, although the waist is fine. I'm still trying to decide if they are worth sending back for a larger size of if I shouldn't just give the pants to my mother (who is skinnier in the hips and thighs than I am) and go with a different brand altogether. These pants are cut more like men's pants and will fit best on someone who is either slim all over or carries their weight more up top. That said, if your body type fits either one of those descriptions, then I imagine the pants should fit true to size.

This was the second pair of pants I ordered because I liked the first pair so much. My first pair are 29" inseams and fit perfectly. I ordered the 31" inseams to give just a little more room but that was not the case. The 31" were actually smaller than the 29", cut in the crotch and the waist was smaller. Sent them back for a refund.

Based on other reviews that these pants ran small I ordered a size larger than I normally wear. They were way too big for me. I normally wear a size 12 so will be exchanging for a size L. Otherwise the pants look and feel great. They are light weight and will be perfect for my rafting trip through the Grand Canyon.

I am 5'3" about 115 lbs. I bought these for vacationing over the summer and backpacking. I posted that they fit as expected because I am very difficult to fit. I usually wear an extra small and actually bought an extra small. However, they fit snugly and I don't like tight pants where my panty lines show so I bought a small which is perfect. They are slightly long but I prefer long over too short. They are comfortable, light material that is excellent for the Texas humidity.

They worked wonderfully for my week hiking trip.

Just to help people out with sizing-- I'm 5'7 and 120 lbs. I'm REALLY glad I ordered the 31 seam. The small isn't tight and isn't loose either. The medium could have worked out all right, methinks.

I wear these backpacking -- perfect pants. I bought a medium and can easily get these on and off without buttoning, etc. Can also wear a base layer underneath. I wear an 8 or 10 in standard women's sizes. An extra cargo side pocket would be the only addition I would suggest.

I normally wear a large pant size, but because of the product description, ordered an XL. I would estimate the pants which arrived were a smallish medium. Be aware that this description is false packaging, and if should you order these pants, order 2 sizes up. I wonder why they just can't make the standard size in the industry?
