I guess this is a good buy. All rotor calipers seem over priced to me.... It comes in a hard plastic case with foam for good protection. Easy to use and read. Does not feel flimsy. I did not have any professional level tools to compare it against but it worked for me.

One thing we like about this tool is there is no deflection on the measuring end. Some of the other we have tried have given improper inaccurate readings do the the flex of the measuring head. Well worth the money.

This thing gives the most inconsistent measurements. You use it on a rotor in the same spot 3 or 4 different times and you will get 3 or 4 different measurements. When the battery starts getting low it gets even worse. I used it for 6 months then replaced it with a higher quality one. It'll give you a rough idea of where the rotor is out thickness wise, but if you really need accuracy stay away from his thing

Great caliper for the price, very accurate for brake measurements. I'd say my only gripe is the arms are a bit on the thick side so sometimes i have to bend backing plates to take measurements on the fly. No big deal, most if not all similar products on the market are like this. Would definitely recommend to others that need a solid tool that requires daily use.

It works ok for the price. I re-zero any digital brake rotor gauge when I measure rotors. When I re-zero a well made one I usually find it off no more then one or two thousands of an inch if off at all. This one I find off by as much as twelve thousands at times. I just take several measurements of the same spot to confirm. Again, I re-zero after every measurement made. If your worried about possibly being off by a few thousands I suggest you keep looking.

Unit feels solid, keeps zeroed close enough between uses, only complaint is when measuring rotors on the vehicle it is difficult to get around the splash guards on some cars because the measuring surface on the caliper is rather large compared to some of the other ones I used. Other than that it it's great.

As far as the measurements go, it works well. But the quality control failed since there is play in the side-to-side movement, causing the spikes to miss each other due to lack of alignment. Fortunately, this doesn't effect me very often since I am measuring brake rotor thicknesses with it, which it does well.
