I've bought a couple of these now after getting tendinitis on both my hands; they fold nicely around the wrist even when cold. They've lasted through many, many uses (I used one about 4 times a day for at least 3 months) although they do look a little beat up after a while. It's good as a hot compress after microwaving or as a cold one after you put it in the freezer. I've never had it leak and the sleeve is pretty soft, not scratchy at all. The only annoyance was that the velcro tab of the sleeve would get caught on various parts of the sleeve, making it a little difficult to remove.

My mom uses this for both a hot and cold pack, she says it works great for both and is so much easier to use than frozen peas or microwaved rice in a sock ;)

This product is perfect for minor sprains and bruises. I was injured during a softball game and this was what I purchased to keep the swelling and bruising down. Just heat for about 15 seconds then squish around and continue heating in 15 second intervals until desired temp. I actually used it as a sleeve style due to how the velcro is on the wrap and was much more pleased with the compression pack. I would definitely buy this product again.

This is not the old Ace cold/hot compress since 3M started making it. It no longer has the extension on the sleeve that can be wrapped around the part of the body that is in pain and the sleeve used to be made from a softer material than it is now. If you have one, save the old sleeve!

I use this mostly for the cold and leave it on a shelf in my freezer. When I have a need, I just pop it out, slide the gel pack into the sleeve and wrap it where needed. The gel never gets hard so it malleable and bends as needed. The outer sleeve (as shown on the picture) has velcro and holds it in place pretty good. Also enough of a barrier where you don't get 'freezer burn' from direct contact. recommended

Perfect size, not too small to be useful or too large for use by a kid with a bonked bean. Other cold packs get too hard and unyielding, lack covers or leak, and so far none of those describe this product. The fabric cover is very nice, a little too thick but okay, and since it is make to fit there is no fussing with a dish towel or pins or any of that, and it stays on without trouble. The velcro of the cover will grab the fabric in places other than the edge so I was able to make it stick around my foot when I dislocated my little toe on the hearth. Washable is a plus. We keep ours in the freezer, cover on. all the time to be ready (at least three clutzes in the family) and it has stayed flexible. It is good to know we could thaw it and warm it for a warm pack if we had that kind of need. Great for knees, foreheads, heads, hands, arms, cheeks . . . you get the idea. Worth every penny.

The advantage to having these is that they are attached to an ace wrap in a small sleeve. The sleeve insulates the compress from your skin. Once you warm or cool them they can be wrapped on the affected area and they will stay put. I have several of these and they are durable and work well.

This works well when used for small targeted areas like hands, wrists and elbows. However, it is too small for my hip or ankle. I take the blame as I overestimated the size when picturing the dimensions.
