I have had life long ashthma and severe allergies to animal dander, cats in particular. My allergy to cat dander is so bad that my lungs shut down if I go into a home that has cats...even if I don't know cats live there and even if they aren't in the house. In the past, we have had to actually move because I contracted pneumonia that would not clear up. A year and a half ago we moved into a home where the previous tenants had cats. They weren't truthful with us about it until after we moved in and I started having problems. The allergy was so bad that I couldn't sleep in the carpeted master bedroom for six months. I became very ill and was soon on several asthma medications and steriods. There was no way that we could move to another home this time so we cleaned the carpet again ourselves with two different kinds of special cleaners for pet dander removal. That did'nt work so I frantically began searching for something else. I did hours research on dander removal. I liked the product information and product reviews about the Allersearh ADMS Anti-Allergen Spray most of all so I bought a small spray bottle to try it. It really helped! I then ordedered a gallon of the spray, the carpet cleaner, and later the pet shampoo (because my dog's dander bothers me some and cannot be loose in the house, later I bought the washing detergent).

We shampooed the carpets ONE time and it was gone! There odor is pleasant and it takes very little to do the job. Now I even use a tiny amount of the carpet cleaner in my mop water when I mop the laminate floors in the rest of the house. I continue to use the spray throughout the house about once a month...more often during heavy pollen seasons. I spray our furniture and throw rugs also. It makes the furniture smell fresh and best of all I can breathe.

** UPDATE 6/2/2015 **

Another spring allergy season has come and gone; another 2 gallons of ADMS Anti-Allergen Spray has done the same. At this point, I am just hoping they never discontinue the stuff, because I will be up the proverbial creek without my anti-allergen paddle. I ALWAYS have this item in my Amazon cart so I can check on the pricing every day--when it goes below **.**, I buy another gallon in anticipation of a pollen/mold/dust mite invasion.

I have given up on the shampooing of carpets (the condition of our carpets best resembles hoarder-house flooring, IMO), but I will spray the daylights out of them with this product. Nothing in my home from February-May is safe from a good ADMS wipe-down!

** UPDATE 8/4/2014 **

Still using ADMS Anti-Allergen Spray, and still buying it by the gallon. I really have no idea what we would do without it in the spring, summer, and fall. Both of my girls have been allergy tested at this point, and both of them have mold and cockroach allergies. I didn't think either of these allergens would cause much of a problem since we don't live in squalor and I have never seen a cockroach in the house... until the doctor informed me that mold and cockroach feces are considered airborne allergens where we live, and even if I spray the inside of the house to death with allergen neutralizers and use the air purifiers 24/7, as soon as we step outside our skin and lungs will come into contact with a wide variety of molds and cockroach feces particulates. Excellent! Allergy shots all around!

In any case, I have ADMS to thank for the 10 hour daily respite from allergens. It really makes a difference when you can walk around in a house that isn't coated in stuff you're allergic to!

I had new carpet installed. When it came from the warehouse, it was INFESTED with a high level of dust mites. I didn't realize this until I visited an allergist trying to see why I was itching and covered in welts! The allergist tested me for over 400 things by pricking me with, well, I don't know what you call them, the tubes that break the skin to see if you have a reaction to a ton of known allergens. I had 3 allergies, penicillin, mold/mildew, and DUST MITE EXCREMENT! Gross!!! I immediately brought in a sample of the carpet and this is how the doctor found out it had over 300X the normal amount of dust mites you'd see anywhere. Of course, the 'high dollar' carpet company would rip the stuff up. That being said, the doctor called a few places and got me some of this stuff to use immediatedly. I treated all carpet and fabrice with this and then 2 hours later had a carpet cleaning company come in and steam everything. Next, I came to Amazon and ordered this big bottle. Dust mites are always going to be around, but with this being used in my house about 3 times a year, I can be sure I won't be itching to death!

So my new girlfriend is severely allergic to cats, and I of course have one. The first time she was over to my house within 5 minutes her eyes were watering and she started sneezing. Of course I wanted her to come over so I realized I needed to do something, and that something was not get rid of my cat.

After reading the stellar reviews for this product both here and other places I was still a bit skeptical. For the most part they seemed to good to be true. Well, I'm here to attest, they were true!

I have a lot of carpeting in this large old house, but I followed the instructions on how to apply on the carpet. Sprayed down the cloth furniture and damp dusted the leather. In the words of my girlfriend I tried my best to de-catify the house. And IT WORKED!

She's now able to come over for as long as she wants. She can rest on any furniture and spend the evenings, all with no congestion, eye watering or anything! She's amazed, and so am I! I've never seen a product work so well.

Of course I still have to put the cat in the basement while she's here. If my cat rubs on her then it's game over, and I have a very friendly cat. But, we all have to make sacrifices for love, even my cat.

If you've got cat allergies..get this stuff!
