I have a 30' flat extension cord like this one, and try as I might, I can't find a 30 footer any more. /whine. Got this 8' one for inside the house, it runs across a foot traffic area, no helping it. It lays decently unobtrusive under a bit of carpet. The orientation of the three prong outlets is opposite to the outlets on the "other" side, which is ridiculously handy at times. Trust me. In the picture, there are two outlets, but if you flip that pod over, there's another outlet on the "other" side with the three prongs facing the opposite way.

So far, two of these have failed. The insulation cracks where the cord joins the receptacle exposing the bare copper wires. I use this daily to charge my power chair, and wrap it up for storage after each use. This needs a heavier strain relief to prevent cracking.

On the cord I received, the outlets were very loose and if the plug wiggled around, it could loose contact with the plug. I had Christmas lights plugged in this cord (inside) and whenever the plug would move around the lights would flicker. Not only that, but on one of the outlets, I could make a plug go in all the way, so the metal prongs were left slightly exposed.
That said, the cord itself was pretty sturdy, but that doesn't rectify the loose plugs by any means.

In regards to the single socket side: it worked, but produced roughly half the output it should have. I went as far as to plug an android phone into it and the phone's battery would drain faster than it could charge.

Thinking that was a fluke I tested the 2 socket side: upon plugging in my tester the socket sparked leaving black scorch marks on the tester. I unplugged the cord from the wall, and found I was unable to plug anything into the double side. With a flashlight I could see that the sockets were not lined up right, which caused the arcing.

I got exactly what I paid for, a cheap piece of junk. I promptly returned it.

It works...but the plugs are extremely loose. I only use it for extending my phone charger range, so 2 stars. It works, as long as you don't gently bump it.

One of the outlets on this extension cord doesn't work. Took me a while to figure out why some of my stuff wasn't charging properly, but that's it. Sadly, it's past the return window.

Even leaving that aside, the outlets are pretty loose. My USB chargers get pulled out incredibly easily, especially from the side with only one outlet.

I can't recommend this to anyone, and I'm puzzled why it's getting such consistently good reviews.

I have a small bedroom with a lot of furniture...so only having 3 walls with 1 outlet each really sucks...behind my bed is the outlet I use to charge my phone and laptop and the plugs were always falling out...but with this flat cord I get to have them actually stay in. There are 2 outlets on 1 side of this cord and 1 on the other side...I wasn't sure if there were 3 total outlets meaning just the 2 pictured and the wall plug so I was kinda bummed when I couldn't request cancellation but very happy once it arrived! I am going to have to invest in more of these to ensure no more plugs fall outta my walls!

This thing is too cheap. I bought four of these. When you plug three things into it, all the plugs do not fit solidly. I plugged my laptop into it and a month later I was getting error messages "need to replace battery" so I bought a new battery and it wouldn't charge at all. I traced the problem to the bad connection which I "fixed" by bending the prongs apart so that it would barely go into the loose socket creating a connection that seems to be "good enough" for now. I would happily pay another three bucks for something that was reliable with no screwing around. Amazon should remove this item immediately because a loose fitting socket is a fire hazard and Amazon has been duly advised as such by virtue of this review.
