Large, wide rubber bands in very vibrant colors, two of each colors. Seem sturdy EXCEPT they have the words "GRIFITI BAND" and a logo that looks a little like the Twitter bird embossed in to the band which creates a weak area as the rubber is thinner where the text and picture are.

I love these bands! I've used plain old rubber bands (the kind designed to go around files) but they tend to be either too stretchy or lose shape entirely with long use and they degrade fast and leave me in a lurch.

I have some larger sized blank books that I store various clippings and patterns in for my crafts (letter sized) and they really do not lay flat anymore because they are so stuffed. I use these bands to hold them shut and keep stuff from spilling out. For long term use, they are working out great. They are not loosing shape or strength at all.

These bands also work great for kitchen/lunch applications. I like to pack Bento boxes for lunches for my husband and these keep the containers together and shut very well. I also find that my refrigerator dishes (the kind that have glass lids) travel much better when I use these bands to hold the lids down. I can wash them easily when they get soiled with my other dishes and silicone lids.

They come in multiple colors so it's pretty easy for me to find one that doesn't stand out like a sore thumb and, when I use them to hold books together, I can tell which is which pretty quickly because of that.

I can see how, in a pinch, they could even be an effective way to make something fairly "non-skid" as they are not slippery at all.

I'm probably going to need to order more soon because I keep giving them away with stuff when people admire them!

Very happy with these bands. They are very big; as stated, hard to find, and just what I was looking for. The assorted colors was a bonus for me, although I did not receive any orange or black, as shown in the picture. This could vary by order, I guess. I would be interested in having the option of ordering all black bands in the future.
I ordered these to hold down box top flaps on 10x10 component boxes in a manufacturing facility. I was able to give each of my seven operators a different color from the assortment. They were happy with them; time will tell if they hold up to the abuse. They do seem well-made and durable. We have used standard RUBBER bands in the past that deteriorated quickly and broke. I am hopeful the silicone material lasts longer.
These would definitely work great for banding together books, laptops, etc. as described. The name is appropriate; these really are "Big-Ass Bands!"

This size Package is more than I really need, BUT I think I will find a lot of uses for the bands. MUCH better than elastic bands, if you could even get them this size for larger items. I have some photo boxes, about shoe box size, that I plan to secure the lids on with these bands for storage. Assorted colors and feel very good quality.

These bands are wonderful for using as a book band. When I write in journals or even when using a travel guide, there are always little note papers or announcements that are wedged inside. These bands hold everything together without squishing the book or adding bulk.
