I had to buy this on a cold day when my old regulator failed due to moisture buildup and freezing. This seems to be a quality unit and I haven't had the same problems with this setup as I did with the older regulator, even though it's in the exact same place and under the same environmental conditions. My regulator is mounted on a 100lb tank outside with piping run inside to a wall mounted propane heater. Works great.

I was going to do a DIY job on installing a gas range but ended out hiring a professional. He had no objection to the item and used it in the installation. In the next weeks I smelled propane; then I discovered my 40# tank was almost empty and had the installer come back out. Turns out that the seal between the two stages of the regulator was not tight. It held up well enough to pass a pressure test when it was installed, but the two parts were not screwed together very tightly at all. This may be a decent product, but if you purchase it, make sure to check that the internal seals are good!
