I have the K & M. I liked it because it was VERY easy to put the IPad into it. No fuss or mess. The clamp was the issue. The part that goes up against the mic stand continued to fall off and I had to be very careful when I hooked it up.

So- I saw this and was impressed with the clamp. Solid, fits and I can keep it on my mic stand. I am in a band that travels. I liked that fact. What I DONT like
1. There is a part that literally comes off so you can put the IPad on. I hate this design. When you have minutes to set up and clients coming at you as well as band members, I put it down. It got knocked off a table and onto the floor. Could not find it. Argh! So much for putting my Ipad into the holder.
2. The goose neck is not very flexible and you really can not adjust it very well.

I am going to keep this as an extra holder for other band members who may want to use it. I went ahead and bought another K & M. Hope this one stays - I would rather deal with this than the Ulitmate.

This doesn't fit the upper shaft of our Ultimate Support mic stand; could fabricate rubber gasket to fix, but it's ridiculous that it comes just about 1/8th inch short (with clamp adjustment all the way tight as it will go).

Also important to note that the iPad holder part is NOT adjustable, and does NOT clamp/hold the iPad in adjustable arms It fits only an un-cased/sheathed iPad. (I looked at so many of these things, I guess I just overlooked this fact on this one.) It's the only one I've found that lacks the clamping attribute.

Unfortunately, I ripped the cheap box while opening, so rather than eating the return shipping/re-stocking fee (per the seller, "proaudiomart"), I will just sell this to another iPad owner - and advise others NOT to buy anything from "proaudiomart".

OK, so like anybody I searched around and found some cheaper options but I looked further. I am using this with a mic stand and the supplied goose neck connector with a boom attachment (not supplied). This thing locks my iPad 3 in on all four sides, without a case. The locking in of the fourth side is kinda cool and simple, to release it is just a push of a button and slide it out. I can tilt this any direction 360 degrees, upside down, face down whatever and it is locked in. It is a little more expensive than other options but it does what I need. The mic pole and desk clamp connectors look sturdy but I will probably not use them with a few spare mic stands around here. I am very happy with this, with a sturdy mic stand you can do whatever you wish with this and keep the iPad safe.

Doesn't work with my screen protector! I have a very thin (.2mm) tempered glass screen protector, and my iPad Mini (1st Gen) does *not* fit in the HYP100B. Also, the gooseneck extension isn't long or flexible enough. Very disappointed.

Don't buy that if you are a musician and you want your I pad on your mic stand ..... DON'T BUY THAT !

The Goose neck is not tight enough to hold the gear properly... When you screw the Goose neck in the holder... The holder is never straight and to adjust that ... it's nothing less than a pain in the a** .

I'm an internationnal musician and EUUUURKKKKK this things is a nightmare . Nothing good to say ... I was stuck with it for 8 month ... now I.m more than happy to get rid of it and buy a new and more reliable one.
