The beauty of the bamboo and inlay design is obscured by the high gloss finish. They also feel a little sticky when water is dripped on them. I'm not a fan of "shiny" so I'll probably use them in the garage. I also found them to be poorly constructed for the price.

This bamboo mat is my final stop in my search. It is a wood mat with a smooth shiny surface, padded underside,comfortable to stand on, easy to clean, and it looks terrific. Finally!

It's just beautiful. It's exactly as represented and appears to be very well made.
Price is reasonable. So very pleased with this purchase. I'm using this to
replace my bathroom throw rug with a latex backing. My old rugs never
lasted. After a washing or two, the latex would begin to crack and peel.
I love that this mat will never have to see the inside of my washing machine.

This mat is listed as a kitchen and bath product because of its features. However, I bought it to be placed over the natural oak hardwood floor in my hall closet. With this mat, I now feel comfortable placing wet footwear, umbrellas and hanging jackets in the closet because the floor is protected. The color of this mat complements my flooring very well. The price is very reasonable and it has proven itself during the few months I've used it thus far.

I bought a smaller one of these bamboo mats through amazon and was very happy with it. I decided that I wanted a larger one as well. I have newly refinished hardwood floors, and the small mat is in front of the stove and the larger one (this one) in front of my sink and extending cabinets. The varied colors of the wood, along with the design down the center, look very elegant on the hardwood floors. Much nicer than many of the kitchen mats that I've seen. I would definitely recommend these.
