My wife purchased this along with an extra spray bottle and pads. She loved it! She used it on our hardwood floors and on our ceramic bathroom floors. It was exactly what she wanted and it was fast and easy to use. She could make up two spray bottles with different cleaning solutions, one for ceramic and one for hardwood, and use them as required. She rinsed and cleaned the mop and spray system and pad after every use with clean water.

She used it every week but three months after she got the mop it would not spray anything. I looked at it and it was perfectly clean, no plugged spray nozzles it looked great except it would not work. I rinsed it under hot water and soaked it and it still wouldn't work. Then I went to the Rubbermaid site and looked for solutions to fix it.

What I found was hundreds of people stating that the sprayer stopped working after 3 to 6 months. More were saying that the mop head broke off and some said that the handle snapped. Luckily we hadn't had the last two issues but we called Rubbermaid and they were kind and apologetic and sent us a coupon to replace the mop.

When the mop worked it was 5 stars. It failed despite all the good care my wife had given it so it's a 2 star. Rubbermaid stood behind their name and product, I give them 5 stars. Based on what we know I wouldn't buy another because of poor quality but my wife probably will get the replacement because when it worked it was great.

Owned for a year - sticking trigger fix

I'm on my second reveal mop. The first one the trigger started sticking after about 6 months. The second one started sticking after a month. Here's the thing. I love this mop. I love the extra bottle and pads. I love the convenience. I make my own cleaning solution of 1 part each of vinegar, water and rubbing alcohol with a couple drops of dish soap for my laminate floors. I marked on the bottle with a sharpie for my fill lines so I don't have to use measuring cups. It cleans great and I've never had a problem with any parts snapping off or the sprayer clogging. I was very frustrated when the trigger was sticking again and although Rubbermaid needs to use a better spring and this easy fix is no excuse for that, here's the fix. You'll need a Phillips and flat head screwdriver & a can of WD40. On the compartment that holds the liquid cleaner bottle there are 2 screws and 1 screw on the connector piece to the mop head. Unscrew all three. The one by the mop head came out and the other two stayed in their holes. Then with a flathead screwdriver gently pull the seam along the side apart. You only need 1/2-1 inch of a gap. If you pull it open all the way you'll pop a few other pieces out of place and have to piece them all back together- so gently! Then spray some WD40 in along the exposed spring using the red straw that comes with the can. Close the gap, hold it together and try the trigger a few times. If the trigger is still sticking spray more WD40 in until it frees up. Then screw your screws back in and it's as good as new! It worked on both of mine! At this point even if it breaks I'd buy another!

Why 3 Stars?

I give this 3 stars because of a flaw in the design of this mop.
Overall this is a great mop with the exception of the clip that
attaches the mop head to the wand. When I apply some pressure
(scrubbing to clean tough spots)the mop head disconnects from
the wand. This is very frustrating while cleaning. I am going to
drill out the clip and put in a metal pin to keep it attached so
I will no longer have this problem.
Other than that I would have given this mop 5 stars.

Update:Replaced the screws behind the pad as they were starting
to rust. Replaced with SS screws to solve problem.

I purchased this at Samsclub yesterday. $23.99 with an extra pad. It is the best system ever. I have used swiffer, but you have to use their solutions and throw away pads. No more. I like Pine Sol, so I used it in this mop. Wonderful. Took pad and rinsed in sink and air dried. You can also just toss into wash. Love, love love it!!! I will update later if it holds true.

I want to love this mop!

I am on my 2nd mop. New out of package, it works perfectly and is a great concept. I love that I don't have to buy expensive refills and that I can use my own, environmentally safe (and safe for my family as well) cleaning formula in it. It is lightweight and easy to maneuver and has a scrubber brush on the front for tough to clean spots. I also like that it is not battery powered like competitor mops. The less things I have to replace - the better, in my opinion.

Unfortunately, the first mop stopped working within a few months of purchase. The trigger stopped working and would not spray. I was able to get a replacement mop and this one stopped working within less than 10 uses! I couldn't believe it. I had thought the first one was a fluke, but apparently not. I don't think I will be purchasing again unless they improve this mop.

I love this mop!

After reading about the new Reveal Microfiber Spray Mop on my front page of Yahoo, I went to Home Depot and bought one. I absolutely love this mop and highly recommend it to anyone that despises mopping floors! I am throwing out all my old fashioned sponge mops, as I have absolutely no use for them anymore. No more buckets of solution. No more old towels.... to soak up the excess solution. No more dreaded days of cleaning my floors. I had fun using this mop and ended up cleaning my entire house. Thank you Rubbermaid!

Way better than swiffer mops.
