I wanted new furniture but didn't feel like spending the money on cheap non-wood items. So I decided to take the old wood furniture we had and refinish it. All the items were an ugly dark stained brown, so I primed them all then painted them with Martha Stewart paint in Heavy Cream, distressed them, then took these MS stencils and stenciled on the furniture in more Martha Stewart paint, her heavy metal line called Moss Green. After that I antiqued them all using an antiquing glaze and replaced the old knobs with vintage style glass knobs. They all came out so beautiful! My husband is impressed. The stencils really added a lot to the furniture and were easy to use. One BIG FYI...Don't use tape to adhere the stencil to the item you are stenciling! this causes major bleeding of the paint and your stenciling job will be ruined. Buy Martha Stewarts stencil adhesive, it's worth every penny and adheres the stencil perfectly to your project. I also used dauber brushes, not stencil brushes. I found the stencil brushes also cause more bleeding and spread the paint too much. The dauber brushes are almost like a little sponge and very easy to work with.

Got these for onesie decorating at a baby shower, and they were so cute and useful! The stencil material itself is thin plastic; I was a little surprised at how thin, I guess I just expected sturdier plastic, but these bend very easily. That's not a bad thing, necessarily, and these still worked great for our purpose as we just used clothespins to hold the stencil on to the onesie which was stretched over cardboard squares, and that held it secure enough to work well. The designs are ADORABLE and we ended up with such cute patterned onesies which we displayed at the party on a clothesline. So cute. The stencils are a little close together on the sheet, but it was still fairly simple to cut between them to separate each design from the others to make it easier for multiple people to be decorating at once. All in all, very pleased, they are just such adorable but sophisticated-looking designs.

When I saw these on the amazon website, I had to have them. Just lovely, soft, delicate designs. I use them for my decorative painting and also for my ceramic projects. They are really a nice size and you have the option of taping off any part of the stencil that you don't want to use which is easier then constantly moving the stencil to make a larger pattern.

These are beautiful! These are not your cheap stencils. The details in them are fabulous and it comes with it's own adhesive that keeps the stencil in place but allows you reuse it and move it around. I simply wipe the paint from both sides of the stencil and put it back on its baking paper and reuse it over and over. Amazing quality.

I used these on wood furniture, glass jars, and more.

I was hoping to use this stencil to paint on my kitchen walls. I tried applying paint to the stencil with a paint brush, foam brush and small paint roller....none came out well. I even applied a temporary adhesive to the back of the stencil to completely adhere it to the wall, so as not to allow paint to seep under the stencil...no luck. I do not at all recommend this product for painting on walls. Your best option would be to use with projects where you trace the stencil, then fill in the coloring.

I got this stencil set to add pretty shabby chic / romantic borders on my walls. These stencils are large just what I was looking for. Because it has lacy, old fashioned designs you only need one paint color. In true Martha Stewart style , included are other project ideas. So glad I decided on the Cathedral Lace!

I really like these stencils. They are well made and really pretty. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it needed one smaller stencil. I had a hard time trying to fit the stencils on smaller portions of my project. Which was a doll dresser, so maybe it was really a bit too much to ask.

I used the Dragon Fly and Bird stencil on my homemade bread using dark cocoa before I baked it--STUNNING EFFECT!! Very well make stencils and come in a nice heavy plastic bag for storage.
