I use PDF's extensively for archiving all online bills, statements etc. I have the full blown PDF Converter Pro on both my PC and laptop. I just purchased an ASUS T100TA tablet (Running Win 8.1). Since I plan on using this tablet only for periodic trips, I did not want to spend up to $100 for another full blown software package. I considered PDF Create, but read some reviews about constant requests to "upgrade". The free "Cutewriter" was also said to have "Ad" problems. At $35 this seemed a reasonable alternative. The download was simple enough (I will admit I had to do a second install, as the first one did not seem to take). But doing a "remove" and re installing wasn't that big a deal. Once up and running, the software simply creates a "printer" on your system named Win2PDF and you select it to create a PDF of what-ever-it-is you want to print, be it a document, webpage, etc. I've only used it a few times, but it appears to be doing exactly what I wanted it for.

UPDATE: 11/5/15 When I went to use this program to print from IE, it errored. It also errored with Firefox. I decided to remove the program and then re-installed it. That seemed to fix it. It is working for now. If this re-occurs, I will update again. For now I removed 1 star due to its apparent instability.

UPDATE: 12/27/15 While away on my last trip it errored again like the last time, only on this trip, the error re-occurred after only a day. This re-occurred over a three day period, and the last reload failed. It said that there was an error during install. It suddenly decided that there was no driver found for it. Trying to work with WIN2PDF7 support, they had me reinstall the Microsoft XPS Document Writer, renewing the driver. This did not help.Read more ›

I purchased this to run on a Windows 7 laptop. An older competitor's program I owned would not run on a 64bit operating system. The program installed perfectly and makes excellent pdf's - a great option when you want to preserve something without using ink and paper. I use it all the time to preserve web-based research material.

Good lord this is convenient. My old canon printer came with a pdf converter in its driver package and have been in the wilderness for 6 years since moving on. This is an inexpensive virtual PDF printer that works great. This is the only way to store really any document and better yet the best way to share docs now. Everyone has a smartphone that can read PDF's.

Really nice. States in name - Win 2 PDF right? States in description convert files to PDF. Shows in picture in description on this page a nice window with a drop down showing how you can select PDF to make a PDF.

When you go to print - and select the new Win2PDF printer - your only option is a PRN file. NO PDF option. Nice, real nice.

Seeking refund. Not worth the money. Windows 8 environment.

for the person that said you cannot put on a new computer is incorrect. the software is saved on your amazon downloads. I have wind 7 and it downloaded with no problems used to save doc's in PDF format. Glad I bought it.

It does mostly what you would expect, but it had its own mind as to where the page breaks should be, which was rather awkward. but it made a fair, but shrunken pdf copy of my Excel files. For what I paid, what more should I expect. For that price - 4 stars.
