Directions

Use primarily as a finishing oil to dress dishes just before serving. This product can also be used as a gourmet cooking oil - heat gently to avoid damaging the delicate truffle flavours. The uses truly are infinite, but we recommend initially trying with Risotto, Pasta or Pizza. Use sparingly, a bottle of this oil goes a long way!

Great product, couldn't be happier, tastes like truffle oil - some people left reviews that made me a little uneasy but the oils came and my pasta last night was spot on perfect. If you've never had truffle oil before and leave a negative review about a product you're unfamiliar with it does a disservice to those who are looking at reviews. It puts a negative skew on the ratings when the opinion is based off personal taste preferences and not if the product is up to par. It's like me buying something that I've never tried, for example - peanut butter, and saying I thought it tasted like dirt and it has a horrible chalk taste to it. Well maybe that's what it tastes like to me but it in fact might be great peanut butter and I just have no reference to judge it on my review is meaningless. Point is... people don't care if you don't like the taste of truffles, they care if you do and thus know how to accurately rate a product. I think this company delivered me something great and I will definitely order them again.

Snobby chefs on the those television shows where the chefs act like they are super elite and the poor contestants are always getting pushed around and criticized will not approve of this or any other truffle oil. That's because they are true followers and are part of the one mind that is over-commercialized television cooking. So lets put that aspect aside for the moment. For those of us on a typical budget, who desire something special for special occasions, these oils are wonderful. The bold aroma and taste of the black truffle oil is unbelievably intense... literally a single drop could not be disguised in your dish. A little goes a LONG way. For those dishes requiring a more subtle truffle participation, the white truffle oil is prefect. I think of it this way: black for savory, white for sweet. Getting both in this affordable kit is very handy.

So, I purchased the white & black oil for him for an Easter Gift. A little of these fantastic oils goes a long way. We eat it on our filet mignon's and other cuts of meat. I've used it in dipping sauces and when sauteing chicken & vegetables. I've seen my man put it on a spoon and eat it. He's addicted to truffle oil now! All I know is our home will always have them in our pantry.

This is a great size to have if you are experimenting with the oil. I've seen chefs, on the cooking channels, using this and always wanted to try it. It has a flavor similar to roasted garlic. A little does go a long way, for me. The black is more intense than the white. I guess you could say it has a deeper flavor.

If you want to simply try it out, this is the perfect size.
