Many others have detailed the benefits of this bottle. After 50 days of constant use, here's MY glowing testimonial.

MY USE:
Initially, 30 days of trekking around Italy. 15-hour days. Bedside use at night. Hung by the clip from my bag the whole time. Bouncing around. In the sun and the rain, hot and cold, various altitudes (we also went to Switzerland). It survived four airplane flights, several underground/metro rides, four funicular rides, a ferryboat ride, and dozens of quick change car rides, and was: plopped on the floor several times, tossed on the bed A LOT, partially sat on a few times, smooshed a bunch, clipped and unclipped over a dozen times a day, filled and refilled too many times to count. Oh, and still going strong with daily use back home, so a total of 50 days STRAIGHT in constant use. I wouldn't say that I abused the bottle, but I definitely know I USED the bonkers out of it!

MY PROFILE:
I get dehydrated easily and quickly, especially in warm weather (I sweat a lot), so I am a "water carrier" - I like (need?) to have water with me at all times and I cannot stand disposable bottles (or 'manufactured' spring water). I was getting ready for a 30-day trip to Italy when I found these bottles (I didn't care that it made me "look like an American" - I can move past that). I ordered one (color:blue/water) for next-day air, the day before I left. I had high hopes. I normally drink highly-filtered tap water from a glass bottle (we have a whole-house system with 5 different filtration stages). I knew that in Italy, this would not generally be the case, but I still wanted clean water, on demand, wherever I went (without always buying it or searching for it). Oh, and the bottle had to be lightweight and easy to carry.

I was really excited to get this product but was a little disappointed. I washed it and than went on a hike. My first drink the water tasted funny, so I went home and washed it again and I still got a funny taste. I email the company direct (not amazon or the company that full filled the order) and informed them of the problem. They said it suppose to be odorless and tasteless but suggest that I wash it with vinegar/water. I soaked it overnight with a 50/50 solution that they suggested and tried it again but the next day it still had that funny taste. I email the company back and they asked me for my address so they can send me a new one. Two days later I received a package with the new Collapsible water bottle. Now this bottle I washed it the same way and tried it out. I'm happy to say that this bottle was odorless and tasteless. I was amazed at Vapur and their Excellent service and care for their customers. Thank you VAPUR. You went beyond what I expected and I am a customer for life.

I had the bottle in my bag with other item and it did not leak on bit. My four year old got a hold of it and was squeezing the heck out of it and it didn't leak. Great product.

I bought this item in 2012 and I've only needed a replacement back in 2014 after I found out that there was an extremely tiny hole on the side of the Vapur that makes the water inside trickle down it.

I use it daily and refill it about 3 or 4 times a day, mostly in university and gym settings. I also use it when I'm going camping or doing any outdoor activities. I throw it, chuck it, and let it be squeezed by a couple heavy books in my backpack and my Vapur had never popped nor has its cap popped open. And this is from constant use (abuse lol) since 2012!

The stock picture currently on here (as of 3/5/2015) shows the old cap design the Vapur Element has. The replacement I got (from 2014) has a new cap design that's smaller than the told one. But there's really no difference but the size and color between the old and new cap designs.

Just a few notes: make sure you blow air inside the water bottle so it expands. That way, you get the most water it can hold. Also, don't hold the Vapur by the body (when it's filled all the way) when you're opening the cap! The water will splash out (from the pressure) and you'll get wet.

So I would highly recommend this!

I was on the fence deciding on what kind of collapsible canteen I wanted to get for my E.D.C. pack.

I looked over at the collapsible Nalgenes and was kind of meh about it.
It was bland looking, and I just did not feel so hot about using the plastic neck loop to tether it to my pack, also the complaints about it spilling did not exactly make me look to favorable upon it.

I saw how cheap this was and decided it would not hurt to try.
Here in my video review I go over my thoughts on the product.

Overall I'm very happy I got this, it functions great, and looks pretty cool.
Its only negative being that the climbers clasp is detachable.

I feel it's construction is quite solid, I've sat on it and dropped by mistake without a rupture, and no stink at all so far.
It stands up right on uneven surfaces, and is hard to spill due to it's lid.

I've not really heard of the brand but as far as I can see it out preforms the collapsible Nalgenes by far.
