I connected terminals L and N to 115VAC (no instructions)
nothing happened. Noticed switch on side "220 V"
changed switch position to "110 V" and LED lights and 24 VDC appears at "+V" and "-V"
DC is adjustable to almost 29 Volts DC with potentiometer near LED
Applied aprox. 10 Amp load. Noticed odor of smoke. Found smoke coming from power supply.
Removed cover (including one hidden screw) and fan assembly. Smoke is coming from fan.
Fan is not turning, but free to move. Unplug fan from circuit board and discard fan and cover.
Power supply now working normally.

Got this to power a large telescope that would draw about 4 amps at 24V. Opened the box to figure out how to connect 120v and protect it so I didnt brush against 120V in the dark... CLUNK! I big choke (>1" in diameter) was rattling around inside the case. Ahh well.. Back to amazon. Im ordering another one hoping it is OK... For this price I am not expecting awesomesauce, but all the pieces soldered on would be nice. I laughed out loud that there is a "Inspected By" quality sticker over the joint in the case. Maybe the sticker was inspected? Anyway, I will adjust the review based on the performance of the second copy.

Update: the new copy seems to be fine. Still cant give 5 based on the hassle.

Total junk, ordered 3 of them and all 3 had the big choke rolling around inside, it didn't even look like it was soldered originally. Do yourself a favor and buy something with a name brand like a meanwell

The Power Supply arived with one cover screw stripped out, and it was new in the box. Power isn't easily or accurately adjusted. Securing input and output power lines is only achieved from the terminal board. There is no strain relief after connection to the terminal board. A Power Switch is a needed addition. There isn't one on this power supply. It did work for the purpose I needed it for. The need was strictly for troubleshooting.

Ordered 3. Two installed and working OK. One had something loose rattling around inside. It sounded like a piece of solder or a loose screw. Since the supplies have tamper seals I did not want to open it to see what it was. I did not want to chance a short in the future so I returned it and ordered another. (Exchange was not an option since out of stock. However, I found the same supply listed under a different ASIN: B007F7S4P4 for about $1 more.)

I ordered one as the replacement. It worked. However, it put out an annoying audible high pitch screech. (I suspect it was due to a slightly loose high frequency transformer core.) I returned for replacement and the replacement is nice and quiet even with medium load.

So far I am pleased with this supply but there may be minor quality control issues. Removing 1 star for that reason. Seems to be a GOOD VALUE but be sure to test as soon as received.

I gave this a 3-star due to the fan noise. I bought this to run a 27" auria monitor that is drawing 3.75 amps. The fan kicks on, kicks off, kicks on, kicks off, constantly. Since this is a 15 amp supply, I'm surprised that only drawing less than 4 amps causes the supply to heat up as much as it does. I'll probably replace this with something less noisy.

DOA. Bent and with torn tamper tape, it made rattling noises when I took it out of the box. Hooking it up, it produced 38VDC, but the calibration screw seemed to have no effect. It short circuited in seconds. There's smoke and ozone in the room now.

Power supply works well. Price is cheap, as industrial equivalents are in the $100's. No issues powering motor drivers during several hours of testing. Very little information is contained with the product, but plenty of pin out information available online if you don't know what the terminal markings mean or can't read them. My terminal markings look very light, maybe a light engraving or part of the moulding. Either way, the terminal markings are tough to read without the correct light and are not exactly aligned with the terminals, but close enough to replace the terminal markings with my own labels.

Knowing it didn't have a power switch, I was prepared, but it would make a nice safety improvement. No voltage irregularities so far.
