I got these along with two other anti-nausea candies after getting so sick off my first round of chemotherapy that I lost 19 pounds in two weeks and ended up in the hospital. While these have just the right amount of ginger, they don't last very long as a sucking candy, as they are caramels. They don't taste as bad as another one I bought and maybe the fact that they dissolve quicker than the others helps to get the ginger to your stomach faster. I'm not saying they are a total cure for nausea caused by introducing poisons to your body to kill cancer cells, but when I'm sick, every little thing helps.

I was on a ferry from Seattle to Victoria and the waters got rough and the crew started passing these around. I was skeptical, but tried them and found that while my stomach was a little uneasy, I was certainly not as sick as I had been in similar experiences in the past. I was still skeptical as to whether it was the ginger that helped or if, maybe, I had just outgrown sea sickness, but a couple of months later when I went whale watching, I realized that I had definitely not outgrown it. So, when my family came to visit and we decided to go to Disneyland, I decided to buy this candy. A lot of the rides make me queasy and can send me to the sidelines for 15 - 30 minutes - way too long for kids to sit around and wait. Anyway, I found this candy really did help. I had a piece about every hour and then also immediately before and after a fast/crazy ride. It wasn't as though the motion sickness was completely eliminated, but it was greatly diminished. I went from being sick to being a little uneasy - and it definitely didn't last long. I didn't need to sit down at all, I just kept going and a few minutes later, I was completely back to normal.
BTW - these don't taste bad, especially after you've had a few. They are different tasting enough that your kids probably won't be bugging you for a piece all the time, which is a bonus.

I bought these to help take the edge off my morning sickness, and they definitely did that. No, it didn't magically cure my nausea, but it made it much more tolerable. They are pretty spicy, slightly sweet, and wonderfully gingery.

I got some of these and some of the less intense ginger candy. I like this one better than the less intense. Some of the little packages wrapped around each piece of candy are a bit hard to get open, but most opened well. I carry some with me in my purse now!

This has go to be my favorite candy....I love Gin Gins ginger candy but these are the best. I need to buy these in bulk as my husband and I eat these all the time. I have Celiac disease and a very sensitive stomach but able to use the super strength ginger to settle my stomach. Since I had them sitting around the house my husband has started to use them too and loves them. I keep a small bag of the Gin Gins in my purse at all times and they are especially effective when traveling to help settle my upset stomach. I cannot believe how much better I feel after using a couple of these and have shared with friends who feel the same way. I know they are a candy but to me they are a great natural solution to settling an upset stomach. I will continue to purchase in bulk and thankful they are available on Amazon.

I got these forever ago from a running company, and have been looking for them ever since. Finally found them! They may not last too long because they are so good! When I run long distances, I end up feeling nauseous...they help. I wish I had know they changed the name, I would have found them a long time ago.

I used crystallized ginger for years to soothe a queazy tummy before I discovered Gin Gins. They are wonderful and so easy to carry in my purse or luggage. I love this candy; I hate the price. I love the taste of ginger, and this candy has a great ginger kick with a caramel texture. The candies can come a bit hard, so I sometimes warm them so that they are chewier. Your mouth will love them, but your dentist won't!
