Basic CD player is all we needed for the nursery to play a CD at night to help the kiddo sleep. Worked for 3 days longer then Amazon's return policy. At first it just had trouble with certain tracks, and we thought it was the CD, but after trying several more CDs the thing just stopped recognizing ANY CD. So now we have a large paper weight. Purchased on 7/16, dead on 8/20. Piece of junk. Will be heading to the manufacturers site to try getting a refund.

Don't waste your money. Wanted a small CD player for a new grand child to play lullabies at night and nap time. It stopped working after four months. CDs started skipping and then it just would stop playing all together.

Bought this boombox on 03/03/13. It started to skip on some CDs after 4 month and now either not recognizing most of the CDs it played before or at least skipping on them.
Don't waste your money even if it does not cost so much.

We were looking for an inexpensive boom box for my 4 year old's birthday, so she could listen to music and books on cd. (We burn extra copies so she can't wreck the originals) I like that the operation is simple- both my 4 year old and my 2 year old can operate it. The cd cover just opens and closes with a handle instead of having a latch mechanism that could be broken. It's not fancy, and skips if you bump it-- but I'm ok with this. The speakers are fine, and it for the price we are quite pleased. It's been going for a month so far, and has already played Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" approximately 100 times, and is still going (much to my chagrin) I will come back and update this review if it dies prematurely on us-- but it's taking a fair bit of abuse, so if it holds up I will be impressed.

The only thing I wish this had was the triangle/square play/stop symbols on the buttons- the tiny letters above them that read "play" "rev" "ffwd" are hard to see and difficult to decipher for a child. I took a sharpie and drew symbols on the buttons. It's not pretty, but it works well.

I would not not buy this brand again. A wasted amount of money. Unfortunately I threw the box this came in so was unable to send back. I lost out on this one.

This box is oh-so-cute. I bought it for my mom in a nursing home because it's small, easy to use, and stylish. The sound quality is fine--what you'd expect in a small, inexpensive box. It was great while it worked, but that was about 3 weeks, then the CD started not to play correctly. Fortunately, I could return it, but I would not recommend it because of this.

Makes a good small radio. It's actually even smaller than I thought it'd be but I don't mind since it fits nicely on the small shelf by my computer. The speakers aren't wow, but sound clear and work solid for it's simplicity. It came very quickly and had no problems. My only complaint is that the radio tuner is in the back which makes it almost impossible to change stations without picking it up and turning it around. Also the antenna will only go straight up so don't expect to be able to finagle it much.
