If you're wondering what this album would be like, well, don't wonder, and just buy it and I promise you, you will be on your way to cloud nine! The second you listen to this album, this will become the best addiction in your life you ever had - Forget chocolate - you'll surrender with too "much guilty pleasure" you won't know what to do with. You'll simply fall in love with his voice and this man and be ready to spoil your ears for the rest of your life. You'll become classical voice snob forever - and no one will ever be good enough for you. And, if you ever have the opportunity to go see him in concerts, you should, and that, I'll promise, you'll be blown away by not only his amazing voice, but by the humble, kind, and yes, gorgeous man he is to his fans. I have all of Mario Frangoulis' records and love them all. In 2005 I attended two of
his concerts in Athens,Greece, "Music of the Night" This cocert wa awesome and lasted 2 nights.I met Mario personally and he entertained us royally since we came so far,actually from California.From then on we became friends and he is very unique.
Who meets and greets every fan after the concerts ans stays for hours to make sure he speaks and gives a hug to all.
To get back to "Beautiful Things" the name of his first song.He sung this song and danced with a little girl at the opening of the Special Olympics in Greece.It was a lovely scene.The song is delightful.The songs The Face,IBelieve in You,Time for Me and Kiss on the Wind will add strong feelings listening together with your loved one
The duets are fantastic especially Maria with the talented Vittorio Grigolo.I was awed at the blending of their voices and had to listen to it several times. and so will you.You will also adore Alkistis Protopsalti in the Spanish song Rojo Vioioento
She is a frolicking special star.Together they had a whole concert this past summer.
in Greece,all in Greek.Vanessa Williams and Mario sing a duet which is very great.
Am I biased in favor of Mario Frangoulis? You bet I am.I would be happier if he could entertain us more frequently in America.After you enjoy this CD I'm certain you will want to hear more of Mario and will purchase the rest of the goodies.

Mario's fans have been waiting quite a while for his new international album. He worked with Steve Wood as he did on the album Sometimes I Dream. Beautiful Things is a bit more pop than Sometimes I Dream but still holds true to the classical crossover genre. Mario's voice is dynamic but with a mellow flavor that soothes the soul. Mario is fluent in five languages. On this album he sings in English, Italian, Spanish and French. You will be mesmerized by him!

I would probably buy anything this artist produced sight unseen (. . . or "sound unheard", actually). He equals or surpasses Josh Groban's talent and selections -- and that's saying quite a bit, for me! Operatic voice and a lifetime of training no doubt, lifts my spirit to absolutely soul-soaring heights -- but unstilted, very unbuttoned. Flawless, but somehow still very easy and natural. That being said, I have liked his previous albums just a bit better. Some of these songs are in English, beautiful, but not quite as lyrical as some his other albums. Nevertheless, if this were the only album I had on a desert island for the rest of my life, I'd play it forever! Enjoy!

When I first put in the disc I almost took it out immediately and was going to throw it away. I don't know why I was first turned off with the sound. I put it in again days later and I wondered what made me miss this great sound. Lucky for me I did not toss it. Mario is incredible. Great voice.

Great choices of songs... compared to what he usually does, this has a surprising amount of English on it. You could band all of the songs into the "inspirational songs" category if you wanted, but that would be over-simplifying things. This "international" album doesn't have Greek on it like his other two did; however it lets us hear him in French on the last song, so that make up for it, and brings the language count to 4 different languages in total.

Vanessa Williams makes a surprise appearance on this album... her voice compliments his well - two mature artists with a specific type of audience. His two Italian songs are probably quite weak when you compare them to his other Italian songs from his other albums; they lack punch and both sound quite alike. The Spanish song 'Rojo Violento' is the album's bright spot - it really brings the tempo up, and challenges Mario in ways that we haven't heard before - he's practically singing a salsa, or possibly a paso-doble. 'Strong' sounds like an ode to fallen heroes (soldiers) so it is nice to hear for that reason.

My personal favourite here are 'Beautiful Things,' 'Time For Me,' 'Kiss On The Wind,' and the duet with Vittorio Grigolo, 'Maria.'
