These napkins are very casual and well made. I love the feel of them. Soft and absorbent feeling not stiff or slick like some formal napkins are. This color (taupe) is a great neutral and goes with everything. They wrinkle a lot in the wash, but I use the steam setting on my iron to flatten them out before using for company. For place settings I either fold them simply into a rectangle and put the cutlery on top or pull the center through a napkin ring. They don't work if you want to try and fold something fancy, even an accordion fan folding doesn't work well with them.

I purchased these napkins for my Lenox "Chirp" table linens. Lenox shows turquoise as the napkin color, but this picks up the bird's plumage in a striking and complimentary way. Just lovely.

I bought two sets of these napkins in Cactus color, because I think it would look very nice against my shiny new silverware and also with my white plates that have blades of grass painted on them. I would like to try to stay away from paper napkins as much as possible since they cause more waste, so I've been looking around for napkins like these for a while.

They're a good size and will definitely fit a fork, knife, and spoon on them when folded and tucked next to a plate. The cactus color is fantastic, and a little more green in color than the yellow-ish look it shows up as on the photo. In general, I'm please with the texture and the quality of these napkins. I can see the fabric weave, which pleases me (instead of something more man-made). I think they could be softer, but they're definitely not stiff. If they were just a wee bit softer, I would have given them that extra star, because other than that, they lack nothing.

Color is pretty (I got the turquoise), but they wrinkly TERRIBLY when washed. I wanted cloth napkins for every day use so I can stop wasting so much paper and try to be kinder to the planet. But if I have to iron these every time I wash them, then I will never use them - I understand maybe ironing for Special Occasion use, but not for everyday. And they are not fancy enough for Special Occasion. Unfortunately Goodwill will be getting these and I will continue the search for some Wash-And-Ready napkins.

These napkins aren't even rectangular. They are cut so far off that they are trapezoidal. It is impossible to fold them neatly or even roll them for napkin rings. If you fold across the center, parallel to an edge, one side is an inch and a half shorter than the other. I've never seen worse napkins.

If you have OCD tendencies don't bother with these. The corners bunch up and they wrinkle. I like my cloth napkins to be soft but firm around the edges and no wrinkles. The only place I can find them is the antique store down town.
