This is a large cone of thread! It's wonderful for all my embroidery projects and for making FSL (free standing lace).
It will not fit on the spool holder of most machines so you will need a Spool Stand. I bought one here on Amazon and just place it next to my machine.

I use a lot of bobbin thread but one word of caution if you do not is that thread dries out. When it does it will break often. A cure for this is to run a humidifire in the room or store your thread in a zip lock baggie with just a drop or two of water.

I purchased this thread since I do a lot of machine embroidery and small spools of bobbin thread cost around 10 dollars at my local sewing shop. At the time of purchase this spool was 10 dollars and it is about 3 times the length of the small spools I purchase.

I use a Brother SE400, for smaller machines you may need to purchase a cone thread holder in order to wind a large spool of thread like this. I picked up a cone thread holder for 5 dollars on clearance at Joann Fabric, they are usually 10-15 dollars otherwise, but a useful investment for being able to load large spools of thread onto your machine.
