This is a good kit if you are installing a water cooler or ice machine. I did not need the valve but it's nice that they included it. I'm not sure about the included filter however. It seems to leave a distinguishable metallic taste to the water but that could be the tank in my water cooler.

I told Magic Mountain the issues I had with my water and MM and Al hooked me up nicely, water tastes better than ever and no more white residue (calcium) left in our glasses. Just remember if you have a carbon filter to run the first few gallons into a bucket/sink NOT into your machine. Water came out black at first. Which I have since found out that is fairly common with carbon filters. Water is EXCELLENT now, VERY HAPPY

This product was doubled in value when I purchased this item from Magic Mountain water products, along with a water cooler. For this purchase price, I received a second filter in addition, unexpectedly. The system I received surpasses the quality of filtration provided by this product alone. My new cooler, and the filters provided by Magic Mountain, give me the best tasting water I've ever had, every day. I'm drinking more water as a result.

Easy once you decipher the instructions. If you never done any plumbing then you will wish the instruction graphics were better.
