I bought one of these locally and liked it so much I bought 7 more here, for different locations and for gifts.

I thought this would be my favorite go-to flashlight...but no more. After a few months almost every one has a very bad connection to the battery, so the light flickers or doesn't work at all unless you keep moving the end cap and the clip.

If you want a flashlight that works when you need it, and won't frustrate you, look elsewhere!!!

Cheap...and built like it. Can't recommend at all any more.

I had been intrigued by these at these in the feed store for about 6 months. I wasn't sure how useful it would be with the beam shining from the side. I finally broke down & bought one to satisfy curiosity. They've turned out to be my favorite flashlights by far.

I took my first one camping to try it out & got to use it right away since we had to set up in the dark. I pulled out this flashlight & clipped it onto my shirt & was able to work with no problem in the dark - the light is extremely bright & has a nice wide field of view. My 5 year old kept stealing it since it was much better than the mag light he was using. When we got back from our camping trip I had to immediately go out & buy him his own so I could use mine. They hands-down beat a regular beam light when going out to do some work at night in an outbuilding etc, and they're much more portable than a full size lantern.

They're quite sturdy & will hopefully last a while. My only worry is that I'll break off the plastic clip sometime.

I love these lights so much, I've bought a bunch of extras to have around the house for when the power goes out / in the truck & give them out as gifts.

"WOW!" is the first thing I said when I turned this light on for the first time!
The reviewers were spot on and I'm glad I bought it.

This light puts most regular size flashlights to shame. Like one person said "it lights up the whole room". A big advantage is the 8 LED bulbs, giving it a very wide path of light. I bought it to clip to my shirt for when I go up into attics - inspecting roof leaks. Now I want one for the glove box of my truck and car. Just for the heck of it, I clipped the Nebo to my sun visor and discovered it's far superior than my interior dome lights. I think I'm gonna leave it there.

This Nebo Larry vastly outperforms these lights I bought at Amazon:
Hipe 3 LED Automatic Motion-sensing Directional Night Light - Battery Powered Hallway Light with a Built in Motion and Light Sensor
Hipe 8 LED Automatic Motion-sensing Night Light - Battery Powered Hallway Light with a built in Motion and light Sensor
Maxxima 6 LED Occupancy Sensor Light With Wall Mount

The only negative comment would be the magnet - it's too weak and nearly slides down a refrigerator. It would not likely stay attached to your car/truck's hood if you were having engine trouble, although you could probably clip it onto a wire or something.

Overall, this Nebo Larry is fantastic and I will buy a few more. (would make a great gift too)

Just bought one of these two days ago on an impulse buy at my local NAPA store after seeing how bright it was. (Hey Marketing people, the product image doesn't do the unit justice.)

Got a chance to use it that night changing a water pump on a Chevy small block.

Lots of light, albeit a narrow beamwidth.

The magnet isn't nearly strong enough. And the magnet needs to be at the unit's center of gravity, so that, if you have to, you can stick it sideways and have it stay. (Lithium batteries may help here - they're a lot lighter than conventional alkalines.)

It's not waterproof. (No O-rings, like a Maglight.) I bought a yellow one, so it would attract my attention when cleaning up after working. Picks up greasy fingerprints very quickly. So I soaped it down with a rag to clean and lightly rinsed this morning. As I write this, in the evening, thought to take the batteries out. Out came water too.

I see a lot of reviewers complaint about longevity. Too soon for me to tell.

This is one bright work light in a very small package at a reasonable price. The Larry Light creates a fairly wide, useful flood of light. The narrow shape of the light itself will let it fit where other lights won't. Some reviews complain of a weak magnet, but the magnet in the light we got seems adequate to support the weight of the light. The clip can also be used to hang the light from your collar leaving your hands free.

About the only criticism I have about the light is the switch is very stiff and hard to push. The the stiffness of the switch combined with its location at the very top of the light, the slender shape of the light, and the narrow recess around the switch make it very hard to turn the light on and off with one hand. If the switch were just a little easier to use, I would have given the Larry Light 5 stars.

Oct. 30, 2015: The turnable clip seems to give the light a problem, and now flickers wildly. So over time, they get a bit dodgy. Other than that, has been a great light. Maybe the new versions are better? Thinking of Super Gluing the clip in place, so it does not move, and cause more wear.

Small, handy new update to the old penlight, and a thousand times brighter! What Uncle Frank could not have done with this light...he owned a garage and did wrecking and other work. He used the old penlights, and this would have just WOWED him.

6 and 3/8ths inches long. Light weight. Hook on your shirt, or whatever, or use magnetic clip, and have hands free lighting. Used mine to bring in my new microwave from the car, just a bit ago. Lit the way just fine.
Bottom turns to right to remove batteries, only about 1/4 turn...uses 3 AAA batteries, positive end first...I think the box at the store said 10 hour run time, which is really pretty good...my 200 lm tactical does 100 lm for 3 hours, so 60 lumen for 10 hours is awesome.

Purchased locally for around 8-something.

Lights up a whole room with a good, wide, no spot glow. It is a blurred area light, not a spotlight. In the dining room and kitchen, from one end, will light up the whole area...bright. Outside, it is not a spotlight...so does not shine across the street too well, but the yard is lit well, the steps and door are well lit, easy to find the key hole, we had some fog, so that hindered things.

Will use some Ansmann AAA Rechargeable batteries when the originals are used up.

I hope they hold up, because it is a great light. The push button switch feels solid to me.
