Designed as an upgrade to the DXR-5, the DXR-5+ offers more features than ever. You can fine-tune system settings such as VOX sensitivity and time delay, video saturation, night vision modes, and more. Audio alert warnings (beeping noise) can now be toggled off.
The lightweight and compact design allows you to conveniently carry the monitor around the house. Wireless video/audio transmission logic has been enhanced to alleviate Wifi interference and signal drop outs, which commonly occurs amongst 2.4GHz baby monitors.

I love this monitor. I love the fact that you can turn on and off the LED lights, that it auto-mutes until noise is made, and that there are several ways to go about mounting the monitor. The one thing I would change is the blue light that is constantly on, sometimes it makes it hard to sleep. Also, in my experience, if you have a cellphone near it the connection gets disrupted. Other than that I would definitely buy this monitor again.

When my son was six months old, I started shopping around comparing baby monitors. I originally thought I wanted a wifi system that connected to my phone, but after reading about the constant issues with the applications and wifi connectivity not always on point, I decided to narrow down my search to traditional monitors. This monitor is protected by silicone and comes off for easy cleaning. The camera portion comes off of its stand, although I do not know its intended use. It has a belt clip and kickstand, but I have not found use for those yet. It is charged via usb port and comes with multiple charging cords to be able to place around the home. I had a lot of features I was looking for in a monitor that would best fit our family needs: My son sleeps in a co-sleeper in our room but also takes naps in his crib in his room, so I wanted something that didn't have to be fixed permanently to a wall. I wanted something I could take when visiting family that could just plug in, I wanted the camera to swivel to best focus on the area where my son was, I needed a distance range that would be able to work if he was asleep and I was outback in the garden, I needed night and day visual options, I wanted audio as well as visual and I wanted the camera to be able to stand upright to be placed on any surface. All my needs were met with this monitor. The extras included indicator lights across the top of the monitor that light up when there is sound if you chose to have the visual off. It has sound sensor controls which you can set on a timer if the monitor doesn't pick up baby sounds, it turns the audio off to save on battery. I has an auto feature for the day and night vision. It has a volume control and two way radio so I can talk to my baby or my husband when hes in the room with him.Read more ›
