Long tip helps to oil clocks. Can get the entire mechanism of my grandfather clock from both sides of the movement. The amount of oil includes seems like it is going to last a long time. Not much was used. Easy to dispense. Clock sounds a lot better now.

This product has a very fine hole for discharging oil. The one I received is clogged. Compressed air didn’t remove the clog and the hole is so small that I have no wire fine enough to clear it. The seller refuses to send a return label.

Needle is thin enough and long enough to oil an oscillating fan without taking the brill/blades apart. Have also used it to oil an old kids toy without taking it apart (thermally welded plastic would not have been easy to put back together). Just those two alone has saved me enough time to be COMPLETELY worth the purchase. Item was received and works well. Tip is strong enough to gently file to a point (better drop placement at odd angels) but still thin enough to get into really tight places.

There are many similar clock oilers, and probably this one is more than I will ever need. Still, it's good to have a long extension needle to easily reach inside the innard gears and bearings. After years, those metal-on-metal bearings (no jewels in standard movements) develop enough friction to make the works unreliable.

An oiler like this is sure cheaper and easier than having the mechanism rebuilt.

So with a trip to youtube, and this pen oiler, I set to work tinkering with the clock. Had it working within the day once it had a good oiling. I love the long metal tip on this oiler because it got to all the spots without me having to tear apart the clock mechanism too much.
