I followed the instructions on here and tried some other stuff online. Spent about 2 hours trying to get it to synch and it just wouldn't work. Bought he genuine product from MSFT for $45 and all is now well. This may have worked for some folks but it was dicey for me.

I was personally running Windows 8, so that may have been part of the issue.

It works about as well as you'd expect it to work. The installation is an issue though, and the software support is barely written in English. Basically, what you have to do is this:

I have a 64-bit Windows 7 PC. If these instructions don't work and you have a different system, I would just use Google.
1) Plug the device into a USB port and go to your desktop.
2) Right click on My Computer and hit properties.
3) On the left, click on device manager.
4)Now, there should be an item there named "unidentified device".
4a) Just a heads-up, it wasn't there for me the first time, so I had to try a different USB port. This may happen to you as well.
5) Right click on that, hit properties.
6) Go to the "drivers" tab on the new window.
7) Click on "update driver" there.
8) Next click "Browse my computer for driver software".
9) Don't actually browse anywhere, but just click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".
10) From this list, you should find "Microsoft Common Controller for Window Class"
11) Finally, select "Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows"
12) There will be a warning for something or other, but just proceed with the installation.
13) It should be working now! Connect to the computer just like you would an Xbox, using the connect buttons on the controller and the device.

Although i didnt have help from the disk that came with it I just downloaded the software from the Microsoft website, and now I can play 4 player on any game for my pc.
