Like so many other buyers, who then followed up with their reviews of these speakers, I was also very much surprised by the quality of sound coming out of these guys. For the price, I didn't at all expect what I got and am getting from these speakers. I had previously owned a set of (fairly well rated) Logitech's X-230 speakers and had had them for 4 years or so. When they went out on me a couple of months ago, I thought that there was no way I would be able to replace them, for anywhere near the same price that I originally paid for the Logitechs (around $60 or so). In fact, I was expecting and had planned on paying $100 or more, for what I would be ultimately buying. But after reading as many of the stellar reviews that I did from other buyers of the CA-3810's, I decided that I would take my chances on them. Afterall, for the price ($60, including shipping), I couldn't go too wrong in buying them. As it turned out, the CA-3810's, not only matched the quality of sound that I was getting out of my old Logitech X-230's (as I was hoping that they would), they by far and away, exceeded it - and in virtually every respect. All things considered, it's difficult for me to understand how anyone buying and then listening to these speakers, could then rate them with anything less than 5 stars. Particularly so, given the price that their being sold at.

I'm a junior-grade audiophile, I know what a "good" set of speakers really is, but I'm not a total snob about audio quality. I think these speakers, like most of the Cyber Acoustics range, provide exceptional value for the price and are of good enough quality even for someone with a fairly good set of ears.

Pros:
-Full "2.1" setup, with two satellite speakers and a woofer. Outside of some crazy artsy designs, this is minimum for real sound quality.
-Good cord lengths. It should be easy to make this speaker set suit most spaces, and only one or two cords run to each part of the unit so you don't end up with a big mess of cords in any one spot.
-Nifty control pod, basically an extra length of wire runs to a combination power switch, volume knob, bass control, and it even has two ports for input and output (or, aux in and headphones). This is present on most CA setups, and it's a neat idea that makes controlling your speakers or plugging in an mp3 player a snap.
-Sound quality is probably 4/5 to a layperson's ear. It's not as "full" of a sound as a professional set of speakers, but it's loud enough to fill an average bedroom or apartment living room with cinematic sound. This is more than adequate for the price, and good enough for any budget home theater or computer desk. This is a true 5/5 when you consider value.

Cons:
-Only one bass control knob, and it's more like an equalizer. Some sound systems come with a pre-tuned audio spectrum, and the bass knob is really just how much you want to crank up the subwoofer. On this set, the one "bass" knob is really a cheap equalizer. While that allows for some selection of how you want the setup to sound, the average person should really tune the knob to about 20% and forget it.Read more ›

I got my Cyber acoustic speakers just a week ago and was blown away by what i could get for the price. These speakers have a subwoofer that takes bass to a whole new level with room shaking beats. I also love how you can turn the bass up and down directly from the volume wheel. My older brother also orderred the Cyber Acoustics CA-5402 Platinum Series High Performance 5.1 Speaker System (Black) which was very similar and he was also very impressed with his speakers. If you are looking for speakers that are affordable, and great quality, look no further and buy these.

I must say that initially I was a bit apprehensive about a speaker system that costs under $60.00. I figured there's no way that anything so inexpensive could possibly sound as good as the reviews stated. Well, my words have officially be EATEN because this little unassuming speaker system ROCKS!!!

The finish is high quality, the cables are good quality and the volume control is very handy with an on/off, a blue LED light, aux input, headphone output and a separate volume control for the sub which is very handy.

I'm a DJ of over 30 yrs and I'm very familiar with audio and I can tell you beyond the shadow of a doubt that this is not a good little system, its GREAT!!! The highs are sharp and precise, the midrange is strong and the bass is deep and tight, VERY IMPRESSIVE! I listen to a variety of genre's, everything from classic jazz to R&B and classic Hip Hop and these speakers handle it all well.

Again I say if you're on the fence about this purchase, get off the fence and BUY THIS NOW!!! You won't be disappointed. Great job amazon and Cyber Acoustics!

I bought this system to replace my aging Altec Lansing X2120 system. The volume control on the older unit was scratchy and the power level was a bit lacking. My new CA-3810 really shines. For normal listening I crank it up about 20%. The volume control is the entire top of the little control box. It rotates with a delightfully smooth feeling, and has a large LED on the top to let you know when the unit is on. The old unit also had a 60 cycle hum to it, even when it was off. Not the CA. The old unit had a large transformer (wall wart) that took up a lot of room at the outlet. The CA has a normal two prong plug that goes all the way to the main box with the power supply inside out of the way. The old unit had base and volume control on the base unit. That made it cumbersome to get to if I wanted to adjust it. The CA has a small control unit that sits next to my track ball mouse and is quite handy. It has an AUX input and a headphone jack as well as the On/Off switch and the base control. The sound is stellar, which is what it's all about. I have yet to crank it all the way up, but it has plenty of power for a small room. My only regret is that I waited as long as I did to upgrade.
