Preppin' Weapon is the BEST sanding block

Subject line says it all. I've owned one of these for several months and just bought several more (in different colors). Changing sandpaper is so very, very easy with this tool. However, it is even easier to own multiples, so you can keep one within reach preloaded with different grades of sandpaper. These things almost make sanding enjoyable. Now, if only it magically sucked-up all the dust…

By the way, I use an old hacksaw blade to cut sandpaper sheets to size. Just fold the sheet in half, then in half again, and while holding the sheet flat on a table (and folded), insert blade into fold and pull parallel to tabletop. This works a little easier if you use a blade handle and perform the cutting action near edge of table.

Benefits:
Very comfortable to hold and use
Very easy to load and unload sandpaper
Uses one-quarter sheets of sandpaper
Good for wet or dry sanding
Simple to install sandpaper straight

Negatives:
A little pricey, but (obviously) worth it: I bought more!

This is a very slick sanding aid for the labor intensive hand sanding. It takes a ¼ sheet of sand paper and paper change out is a snap. It fits nicely in your hand. it makes hand sanding much more pleasant.

Works and is Comfortable to Use

This sanding block works well, is durable and comfortable to use. I like the way the sandpaper clips onto the ends of the block. However, I do wish that they had made it just a bit shorter so there would be just a bit more of the sandpaper under the clip.

Good product like the way it clamps the paper you get to more useful sandpaper vs other styles of blocks.Also this block floats and that is handy when wety sanding. Had two old sanding blocks that became useless when the flap you have to pull back to insert the paper broke off.In short spend the money on quality if you don't buy junk in the first place you wont have to throw it away in the second place.

Nothing fancy, but best I've used

There's nothing fancy about a sanding block, but considering the amount of time I spend sanding, a good one is important. This one is easy to load, holds the quarter sheet good and tight, is flat and stiff (no bending when you don't want it to), and is a great weight. My other blocks are too small or too light, causing me to lose my grip or end up with a hand cramp from holding it so hard. This block has solved those problems. I'll use my others for small surfaces or when I need a bit of bend, but this one beats them for basic flat surface sanding.

This is nice and comfortable in my (big?) hands. Takes pieces of sandpaper that are the width of a standard sheet. It's been great and seems to hold the paper securely, although it's grip on the paper doesn't actually seem to be all that firm.

Much better than a cork block or the 3M rubber thing. Brilliant fastening system that doesn't loosen like the nails on the 3M block. Now you can wear out the sandpaper, instead of tearing it loose from the block. A bit pricey, but I'll buy another to keep a second grit ready to use. Would recommend to you as a friend.

Best Sanding block I have seen
