Stopped using this product. My cat, who shouldn't have eaten it but did because he's a fatty, got urinary stones first. Then! my female ferret got a bladder stone so large it almost completely filled her bladder. She was peeing blood and had to have surgery. The vet attributed this to her diet and said I had to change it immediately. My cat eats Blue Buffalo now and the ferrets eat EarthBorn dry and soft.

This is a good food. No, not the best. But my ferrets are doing so much better on this than that Marshall stuff. With feeding ferrets, quality does pay off in the long run in terms of vet visits. I get this bag, which is twice the size of the bags I used to get at Petco for $7 more! I can't afford Wysong--yet. But this price for their regular food may allow me to cut in Wysong. My ferrets are all healthy on this. Good weights, coats, demeanor. If you're on Marshall's, make the transition to this. At this price, it works.

If it was possible to give less than one star, I would. I never review things because I don't think my opinion is so important that strangers need to hear it. But if you own a ferret you need to hear this. My ferret, Riki, is an awesome little guy. I got this Zupreem Premium food because they said it had more protein. After eating it for a little while, almost halfway finishing the bag, I noticed he wasn't defecating anymore. Then he stopped peeing. Then his stomach became distended. I brought him to Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston. They were excellent. I thought he was going to die but after a $3,000 surgery and overnight (which I am still paying off) he recovered from the cystic stones caused by this food. They had to be surgically removed from his little kidney and he still has the hair growing back in the shaved patches. I remember his little cries of pain when I was bringing him in. The vet said that every single ferret coming in with kidney stones had been on the Zupreem diet but that they can't, technically, prove causation. Just like they used to say there was no way to prove cigarettes caused cancer. Just a coincidence that they seem to go together like this food and cystic stones. Please, keep your little friends safe and feed them something else.

Terrific food for my ferrets! I will ONLY feed them the best available and this Zupreem is one of the best. If I dont get this, I get EVO. Both in my opinion are the best of the best for ferrets! Ferrets need a high quality diet! Dont feed your loved ones cruddy food, get them a REAL food like Zupreem!

SO- we did the homework for you. I researched a lot of different foods and have tried a few different ones. I can tell you that this is the best food for your ferrets nutritionally and amazon seems to be the best price on it as well. Our ferrets all have loved it and even our cat eats some sometimes. Haha.

This food is perfectly formulated and I definitely will keep my ferrets on it. I even use Zupreem for my canary. He loves their food!

This is the only food I'll feed my ferrets from now on. Their coats were never the same after getting the flu a couple years ago. Even being fed jarred baby food and extra vitamins wasn't helping. We started using this brand this year and it has made a huge difference! They now have full, soft, and shiny coats! Can't beat the price for the quality either.

This ferret food is wonderful! My three babies absolutely adore it. The small kibble are easy for my ferrets to crunch. Their poops are smaller and less stinky, which is always a plus! The only draw back to this food that I have found is that it is very similar to the cat food I feed so I have to be very careful not to mix the two up.
