Just bought a case of Nestle Pure Life water. We were with my boyfriend's daughter and she told us to buy a different kind since they sold it at school and she thought it tasted "funny." Since she tends to be a little finicky, we disregarded her comment. Mistake. The water has an odd, metallic aftertaste and your tongue feels a little tingly afterward (not in a good way). Even on sale, this is definitely not worth it. We not only wouldn't buy it again, we wouldn't even take it if it was free. It's that bad.

I never used to drink water much. I was one of those foolish people who lived on soda and coffee. After a couple of massive heart attacks and surgery within (all within 3 weeks) I was forced to embrace a new and healthier lifestyle. We always kept water in the house for my family but I always chose soda/coffee. Well, I take a LOT of medicine throughout my days and nights now and so drinking water has become more and more "normal". My husband was buying cases of personal sized bottles of another brand, but he came home with a water cooler for me recently. ..AND he brought home a big bottle of Pure Life water. i had never had this brand and was expecting my usual refreshing glass of water. Not so. I did not even notice at first that it was a different brand than what we're used to; that is until I started drinking it.This water has a very bleak taste to it. It does not taste crisp and clear and if it gets to room temperature it's even worse. I drink so much water that even room temperature water tastes good to me. The rest of the family also usually drinks water very quickly. It seems they have either forgotten we have a cooler now OR, more realistically, they just don't like this water either. I drink less water now and that's not a good thing. I was drinking it with my meds as well as all throughout the day because I had learned to love the taste of good water. I have told my husband to please go back to buying the brand we've always used. Sorry, but I do not recommend this poor quality water at all. It just doens't taste good.

This Nestle purified water has a horrible taste, which is difficult to describe (artificial, chemical, stale?).
Everybody in my family hates it. We bought a case of 24 and tried a few bottles - same bad taste in every bottle. Then I read the label again: “Enhanced with minerals for taste”. Definitely not our taste. Our tap water coming from Hetch Hetchy in Sierra Nevada tastes better. We drink bottled water of other brands (Kirkland, Pellegrino, Perrier, Gerolsteiner) all the time as it tastes better than our tap water. I’m throwing away most of the 24 bottle case.

Nestle used to have weird 'textured' water like thickened sort of, and I stopped drinking it because it was that bad. Then 10 years later, I tried Pure Life and it didn't have that weird thickness to it anymore. I thought "wow!! Finally!" But after a couple of weeks, when parched and I opened a bottled and drank eagerly, I had this nasty, plastic/artificial taste in my mouth. I thought it was what I ate before but after asking my family members, we had all come across a few bottles that were this intensely odd tasting (like drinking water sprayed by cheap, cancerous perfume). Since we had a whole case, each time I opened a bottle, I would sniff it for that nasty weird smell and if it had it, I poured it straight down the drain (not even letting my plants and herbs have that). I've never had this experience with Poland Spring (which Nestle supposedly owns), Aquafina, Dasani, or Voss (of course). What is this?? Is Pure Life their lower tier, carcinogen-laced bottled water brand?? Also while trying to searching on google to see if people had similar experiences, I came across multiple articles that praised Pure Life for their "purity" and "great tasting water". Pure Life seemed to always place higher than the other American brands (not talking Evian or Fiji). This must be their marketing scheme. I think instead of putting so much money into marketing this nasty water, they should hire better chemists who won't mess up and give us this atrocity of a "pure" water.

I bought this in the 2.5 gallon size (with the built-in tap). It's hard to describe the taste of it, but it's definitely not what you want when you buy bottled water. I assume the taste comes from the plastic material used in the container.

I feel the exact same tingly sensation when drinking this water, just as a few other reviewers mentioned. Whenever I open a bottle of this water and drink from it, it tingles my lips - very similar to the tingly sensation felt when touching peppermint to your lips. I usually buy this water from Costco or Walmart - I get the same sensation every time I open a bottle. Hopefully, 10 years from now, Dateline won't be doing a story on cancer tumors grown on the mouths of former Nestle Pure Life water-drinkers... Pray for us.

The water is very good (all bottled water does not taste the same). Although the shipping charges were a bit high, I am unable to buy locally because of not being able to life the heavy cartons due to health problems. Water arrived on time and in good shape. Was very satisfied.
