    I purchased these as a gift for Christmas. I thought they were hilarious! They go up to your mid knee (I suppose it will depend on how tall you are as well). They're warm and will get compliments and comments from everyone who sees them! Everyone kept commenting on them and taking pictures. The one and only drawback was when my cousin took the socks off the cape tore. So, it would seem that they would just tear off in the washer. I suppose you could hand wash them, but really who has time for that? One great suggestion was to tear the capes off and put velcro on them so you could take them off with ease and not ruin the capes. One word of advice, if you buy these the capes WILL come off, so be prepared for that.

    These are super cute and people could tell what they are meant to be but the symbol stretched out a LOT when they were put on. I have pretty thin calves (knee high boots usually fit pretty loosely on me) and still the symbol was stretched almost beyond recognition. I wear a womans size 7 shoe and I had TONS of room in the foot length. I think if you have a size 11 or 12 shoe, these might still be big on you. I had to keep them bunched up in my shoe to prevent the red heel spot from popping up out the back.

    That begin said, they ARE cute and I got many compliments. The fabric seems to be decent quality and they washed fine, keeping their color. They are just a regular thickness sock (not an athletic sock) which I think is pretty accurately represented by the picture.

    Might have just been the person wearing them, but these had holes in the heels and toes within 3 hours. Others I purchased did not have this problem, but these ended up looking pretty bad. They were so cute while they lasted, though.

    I bought these socks as a gift for my spouse and we didn't even have them a week before the capes fell off! I was so excited to see that the company had so much "Superman" items as that is the favorite super hero in our household. I definitely will NOT be ordering anything else from this seller. They didn't even stand behind their product when I complained about how cheap these socks are...

    It's a cool novelty to have. It's not really for regular wear. The cape started to come undone at the stitch to the sock after two or three washes, so now they just hang in my closet for show.

    I would buy it as a gift for a superman fan.
