Da Vinci claims that these so called Interlocked Bristles are "enormous amount of labor involved". I was excited to see the Interlock craftsmanship like that demonstrated in Da Vinci's advertising videos but only to find out that these are only normal hog bristles which are nothing special, so, price factor is the only thing you should consider but not the fancy term. I give them 4 stars is only because I got very good deal price. I will never buy them at the regular price.

Although there are already negative reviews out there, I bought this brush anyway due to the super deal. Now I can confirm that this is not a very good brush. The tip was sprayed after very short period of trial usage. The spray is permanent and tip can no longer be re-shaped. I give it 2 stars instead of 1 is only because that I am wondering probably all the round hog brushes are not good and this Da Vinci 7700 is not particularly bad.

The brush holds a lot of paint and lasts a long time, unfortunately it bloomed like a prickly little flower when full of paint and is now very difficult to use. It is good for laying down a lot of paint, but terrible for edges. It obviously isn't meant for detail but this is no good for any edge. I've only used it once with acrylics, washed it in cool water with brush cleaner. The picture is after washing it and this is how it was trying to paint with. Hopefully the other hog brushes I recently purchased don't have such a terrible fate.
