I was very happy to get my order before the excepted delivery date. I couldn't wait to use this product and a pre poo and a dc. I was so disappointed. After using this masque my hair was not soft but very very dry. I felt like I had used a clarifying shampoo instead of a dc. If I didn't have to pay postage I would send it back.

I'd say this product is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! But then, I am biased toward Shea Terra products. I love the company, what they stand for, and the quality of their products. I do not use this straight out of the jar. I mix two tablespoons of the conditioner, with two tablespoons of olive oil, avocado oil or grapeseed oil and one tablespoon of raw honey. I use a mini silicone spatula, and mix ingredients together in a little anchor hocking glass bowl. I section my hair in four and apply to each section, sit under a conditioning heat cap for 20 minutes, rinse and VOILA! Nice, soft, shiny hair! AMAZE-BALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

to be fair,
I've only used it once, but it had such a strong chemical odor, like car oil or something. it is thick but I didn't find its moisturing effects to be lasting. I may try it again at some other point when I forget why I never used it up.
