Directions
Fresh Step® litter directions for use:
1. Fill your clean litter box with 2-3 inches of Fresh Step® litter. Additional Fresh Step® litter is recommended if the litter box is used by more than one cat.
2. Empty the entire litter box as needed, usually about once a week. Dispose in trash. Remove solid waste between complete litter box changes.
3. Sprinkling additional Fresh Step® litter in the litter box each time you remove solid waste will help keep the litter box fresh. Dispose of solid waste and used litter in the trash. Do not flush down the toilet or drain.

First of all, I think this is the most effective odor control of litter on the market and I have a kitten rescue! I go through my share of litter and have tried every type and brand on the market. First of all, when you care for more than a couple of felines, odor control is a MUST! Now, we also have to be economical because who likes spending money on "toilet" items? I have discovered the most long lasting and economical way to make a Litterbox is to line the bottom of the box with an inch of crystals and then place the cheaper clay litter on top. When the cat digs and uses it, the pee flows to the bottom, where it gets absorbed amazingly by this product and virtually erases the ammonia smell. With the clay on top, usually the poo remains closer to the "top" and dries out, reducing that odor as well. Fresh Step is by far the brand to use on odor control with the crystals and clay. I have boxes that have lasted much longer than I care to share on-line, but trust me, this is the best combo for cat and owner to live in "smell" harmony! Give it a try!

We enjoy using this product as it works well with out cat. She doesn't pee a lot of liquid so it catches it well, and the stool is well coated enough to block the smell and makes it easy to scoop it out. I suggest this for anyone. The reason for only four stars is because it is quite dusty and when pouring it makes the air a little dusty and settles on stuff. Other than that it is great! :)

This is the only litter I will ever use for my cat! I've tried many different litters in the past, and Fresh Step is really true to it's word when it says that it keeps the litter smells away! With only one cat right now, the litter needs to be changed every 10 or 15 days, and I use much less of it than I would have to with other litters. With other litters I supplemented with baking soda. Fresh Step already has that covered! A Good and dependable product, and one life long customer!

Love it! I've found the one for me. We all have preferences but I never imagined of even trying non clumping but if you're like me I admit I only scoup every 3 days and sometimes 4, the non clumping is awesome it doesnt clump in the corner where normal urination happens so I scoup mid week and mix it up with some arm and hammer litter box oder control (not really needed because it doesn't smell but I'm super paranoid that guest will smell a litterbox and only that since I live in a 400sq ft studio) then empty it completely every 7 or 8 days as needed. That's no problem because its so much cheaper than clumping. I don't find it nearly as dusty or trackable from the Kitty paws as the many many many others on my search for my perfect litter.

I continue to use this litter brand, but I will only buy from Petsmart at a store location. Two times, when I ordered from Amazon, the quality of the litter was poor. The litter from Amazon was almost pulverized and gave off a lot of dust. Fresh Step, purchased at a Petsmart Store rates as 5 Stars. Very unhappy with this lower grade product. The cheap price says it all.

I have been using this litter for the 11 years I have had my two terrorist cats. They started using it as soon as I brought them home at two months. Absolutely no odor and the cats never miss the litter box. Also, Fresh Step is reasonably priced.

No problems until.......I ripped out the carpet and installed wood floors in the entire house except for the kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms. I knew my cats tracked litter on the carpet but it was not visible and I vacuumed frequently.
Now, each of the many pieces of clay litter appear as boulders on my wood floors. I run the dust mop over all the floors every morning and it's amazing how much litter I pick up.

Help!!!! Is there anyone who can recommend an actual "non tracking" cat litter? If you have one that works not only will I be eternally grateful, but I will send Tommy and Timmy over to spend the weekend with you :)
