When I opened the box, it was quite apparent the item had been previously opened and re-packaged. Thinking this was a fluke, I removed it, and realized it was dirty. Since the headset looked OK, I thought, well just wipe it down and try it out. Does not work! Terrible sound feedback, kept playing music over the dial tone, breaking up when I tried to speak. Complete waste, shipping it back immediately.

I use this for my telecommute job. It works as well as it can with our imperfect landline service these days. You can tell when a customer has bad phone service because they can't hear me very well. The product is great though. The little chihuahua next door that barks at air can't be heard even with my window open (the little dog is about 5 feet away). Would like it to be on both ears though. And it could use some sort of funnel in place of cupping the mike for those hard of earing customers... is there such a product?

The base works fine. I needed to tune it and adjust it as is normal. The headset, which is the main component for a work at home agent is sadly cheap. I will most likely buy another headset. For the price point, the headset should not be this cheaply made. Hope this helps!
