The plunge cutting saw blade is one of the most versatile ever! I can cleanly cut holes for electrical boxes in drywall. No more nasty holes using a hole saw, or the pain and inaccuracy of dragging a utility knife multiple times across the drywall. Simply use this blade and plunge cut on the lines you drew outlining the box and bazinga!!! Another super cool use is when installing tile or laminate floors and you need to adjust the length of the molding around a door so the tile fits neatly underneath. Place the tile next to the molding, rest the bottom of the blade on the tile and plunge cut the molding perfectly! Speaking of molding, I was installing floor molding and making the cuts with my miter saw in the garage. I had cut the molding just a little too long (and was tired of the in-and-out of the garage) so I picked up my power tool with this blade installed, and trimmed it perfectly!

I also tried to use this blade for something way beyond for what it was designed. I had to remove a base made of 2x4 lumber with the nails having been PowerShot into the concrete floor. I used this blade and slid it between the floor and wood to cut through the nails. I was able to do it, but the blade was damaged beyond use. I guess I went waaaaay past the limits of this saw blades design. Someone had to try!!!

I love this blade. 6 stars from me.

If you're wondering the different between this blade and the A-95277, the teeth on this blade are shorter and spaced closer together than the A-95277. This blade is good, but definitely not as aggressive as the A-95277

I bought a cheaper blade to replace the Makita brand blades and they made a lot of noise and smoke and worked only a fraction of the level of the Makita blades, so I spend the extra few bucks. When I need to get bailed out with the multi tool , I want the blade to not waste my time because I am usually working from behind the 8 ball.

I needed the blade cut both nails and wood. Having used a Makita blade in the past, I had high expectations. The blade struggled to cut the nails and lost many of the longer cutting teeth in the process. I saw some reviews that suggested this might happen. I think next time, I'll be sure to buy the original blade.
