I used this Lion Brand Chenille Amethyst yarn to knit a 5" x 50" scarf, and one skein was just enough for the project. It turned out so light and soft, and the slight color variations produced a really beautiful, muted stripe kind of effect. I will definitely use this same type yarn again, providing I can find it on sale!

The yarn is nice to work with but be warned there are knots in the yarn where two strands are joined. The thickness of the yarn helps to hide the knots from view, somewhat. The only question is, do you trust their join (the knot) or cut it apart and make your own? One knot seemed sturdy enough when tugged on, but another did not. Make sure to test the knot before continuing to knit with the yarn.

I made an awesome hat with one skein. Yarn is easy to work with - less tangling and fraying than other chenilles - and has just the right amount of stretch on the bias. Tossed in washing machine and toss dried with no ill effects. Great for beginners!

Cheap... not soft or very "full" yarn. The colors were nice and I was hoping I would luck out with quality. Should have known better. Would not recommend for main knitting. Would possibly be ok for a knitted stuffed animal or something of the like.
