I recently went on an overseas trip which required to take as little luggage/bulk and weight as possible. All my regular camera bags were too big to haul along in a normal-size tote, so after looking around for a while, I settled on the TBC-405.

While it is marketed as a camcorder bag, I found it a perfect match for my Olympus PEN E-P3 12.3 MP Live MOS Interchangeable Lens Camera with 14-42mm Zoom Lens (White). Contrary to many other small camera bags, it is large enough to accommodate the E-P3 comfortably when putting it in on its narrow side (grip up) with the lens attached. The camera fits easily but reasonably snugly, and the small compartment created by the divider is perfect for the battery charger (sans cable, which I transported separately). The exterior pockets hold spare batteries, one each. Note: The interior divider is non-removable, but can be pushed flat against the sides when not needed.

The interior zip pocket located in the lid can hold a small USB cable or, in my case, a spare SD card. The exterior back zip pocket is a bit small and narrow to put anything larger than say a filter or small USB cable in it but for that it works well.

If one didn't want to put the charger into the bag, the second compartment could also hold an external viewfinder, or a macro-converter or fisheye lens. I managed to fit in the Olympus MSC Lens MSC 40-150mm R f4.0-5.6 for Digital PEN Cameras as well but then the camera had to go in to its compartment at a bit of an angle, making this not the easiest fit.Read more ›

i use this case for my Olympus EM10. IT cqn hold the camera with a base lense 14-42 2R and olympus 40-150 lense which i bought in Thanksgiving. But it is nit perfectly fit , a little tight in there. See the pictures. By the way, the picture can give you a illusion that this case is pretty big but it is not. My picture also did this.

The TBC-405 Case Logic "kit bag" is perfect for a bridge camera application. The zipper side pockets each can easily hold four AA batteries or an extra filter. There's another zipper slot inside the bag and one on the outside (front). If you have any extra gear with your bridge camera, such as an external flash unit, look for a larger bag. The dimensions given on Amazon's website are correct, so the internal measurements are a slight bit less. Case Logic's website gives recommendations in this regard. My bridge camera at approximately 5" width x 5" depth x 4" height is a snug fit when inserted on it's side into this case. The case interior is well padded and expertly crafted. It is truly "minimalist" in appearance, so if you appreciate such, this might be your camera bag.

I bought this to house a Canon VIXIA HF M500, and while the camera fits, it's not a great fit. It's not Case Logic's fault. I guessed on the size and should have gone with a case that was a little longer. The camera sits diagonal in the case, and that's fine, except that it makes it more challenging to fill the case evenly. Accessories have to go in all wonky around the camera. Oh well. Not that big of a deal. I've had it for three years and haven't cared enough to actually do something about it.

Here's the important part: When travelling, I tend to pack things full so that I have fewer items to carry. This case has been through some honest torture, completely filled to the point that it was hard to zip shut, and it's been there many times. After three years of that abuse, the case is still in great shape. No zipper issues, no seam issues, etc. It's a quality case.

A really nice case that provides an amazing amount of protection and storage.
I carefully unstitched one end of the main compartment padded divider in order to have more flexibility in arranging my gear. The main compartment fits a camcorder, a point and shoot and the camcorder wall battery charger, with lots of room left over.
The various pockets hold an extra camcorder battery, extra "AA"'s for the point and shoot and additional SDHC's.
The bag is flexible, thus allowing lots of latitude if you really need the pack a little extra.
