Not sure what you can say about brass tees, other than they are well made. I bought it to replace some plastic ones used on a vehicle's heating system that cracked twice since I've owned it. I don't see this one having any issues. It's made of heavy gauge brass and can easily handle any vibration (which I think caused the other failures)and the tightening of a clamp without the worry of it collapsing.

Brass is far better than plastic for this part.

After my husband purchased several plastic versions that failed, like the original - I ordered this part in brass. Still going strong. Was not much more money than that plastic version and when you calculate the parts he replaced every 3 weeks and the antifreeze he had to replace each time the plastic one failed.... this brass version was much more effective.
